Very peaceful and relaxing vibe to the cottage. Really enjoyed the view of the forested hills and nicely landscaped yards thru the back slider and pasture & ocean out front. Vaulted wood ceiling gave the contemporary cottage a bit of a cabin feel. Beautiful beach just a stones throw to the south. Very quiet, neighbors were barely noticeable.

Such a wonderful place to stay, close to great day trips and near town should you want to go out for a meal in Brookings.

Our 5 night stay at Rick's place couldn't have been better. The house was just as described -- impeccably clean, roomy, and comfortable for our family of four. Access to the beach at McVay Rock State Recreation Site was a very easy walk (less than 5 minutes), so even though it was very stormy for a couple of days, we enjoyed a lot of beach time. This was our first time staying here, but hope to come back in the future.
