Nestled in a heritage-rich estate, our house offers a boutique-hotel experience just 10 minutes from both the town and the airport. We take pride in offering a piece of history with Rococo-style influences from the 1930s. Our shophouse boasts of a spacious living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, and lots of things for children to play and read. We have the ultimate convenience of nearby amenities, including grocery shops, eateries, yoga classes, and a movie theatre. A pre-war house built in the 1930s, this shophouse retains all the beautiful architecture and Rococo-style influences and is nicely furnished with modern facilities. This 3,000 square feet shophouse comprises of a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, an open backyard, 3 ensuite bedrooms, and a powder room. Parking is available off the streets and an open-air carpark located 1min away. The first (ground) storey has the living room, TV, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. The second storey has 2 ensuite bedrooms. The third storey has 1 ensuite bedroom with a loft. There is a small yard and a back gate that leads to the back alley, which children can play quite safely outdoors. The house and room are really nice. It has all the basic amenities that you'll need and much more. It really does feel like home away from home. Really happy!!
Really great place, very unique and spacious and a very lovely host
This was the.first time we visited this area of SGP and we had a comfortable month. The hosts were very friendly and professional. They were working most of the time and we were out everyday so we hardly met, but the distance was perfect for us. The room was just right for my wife and 2yrs old girl. We were told the maid will clean every once a week, but had to ask everytime since she will easily forget. But the rest of the house is very clean. Large kitchen space for cooking, many ingredients to be used. Definitely a great choice to stay if you area couple. One downside is that the room is facing the street, and was noisy at night. Very difficult for my wife to sleep since we live in a high story condo, but Im a fast sleeper so I didnt mind.
Sheryl and Declan's home was a great base for our business trip to Singapore. Our accommodation was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's located in an interesting residential area with all you need nearby, and excellent food - especially the 'Loving Hut' restaurant just around the corner. Sheryl and Declan were very hospitable and helpful and we enjoyed meeting them and sharing their lovely home for a week.

Joo Chiat is a gorgeous Peranakan enclave with full of character. You can practically see Singapore's progress from 1980s. There are old shops/ businesses that have been here since 1980s but you can also see how the area modernises as new malls and shops appear. There's plenty of food from local to western food. There's also a supermarket 2 min walk from us and a large mall with a movie theatre, money changer, exercise gear shops, banks 7 mins away from us. Plus we have the East Coast beach 15min jog.
Bus no 14 gets you to Orchard road, where the main shopping street is. Bus 16 gets you to Nicoll Highway/beach road. If you're going to Raffles Place or the central business district area, you can take bus 16 to nicoll highway and change practically any bus that goes straight into raffles place. Its a 30min ride door to door. We are also 3 bus stops from the Circle Line train (Station: Dakota).
