Hand on heart, Edda’s property is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in on our 3-week trip around Iceland. Very private and beautiful surroundings. Looks even better than in the pictures. Great location to explore the westfjords. Perfect for those who are looking to stay away from crowds. If you’re lucky to get clear skies in the night, it’s a great location to catch some northern lights. Lots of interesting books and board games to keep you occupied if bad weather hits and you are unable to explore the outdoors. Very well decorated interior with a mix of modern and rustic touches. Great deck to enjoy the sunset. It is obvious Edda put in lots of love and effort into the property. As a host, Edda is very responsive and gives clear instructions. Would definitely recommend anyone to book a stay.

I have to start by saying that the Westfjords are a soul restoring place for me. I have been here several times, and this was my first time sharing this special place with my husband. Edda's home stands out from all other places I've stayed. We had the most peaceful four days, hiking during the day, relaxing with a glass of wine at night, stargazing and watching the aurora. We couldn't have asked for a better home or host. Edda is friendly and accommodating, and the house is beautifully designed with every amenity you could want. We will be back!

This is my third time staying at Edda Kristin’s home. Not the easiest place to get to, simply because it is in the Westfjords, but sooo worth it! The peace it brings. Thank you!!

Fantastic house in a beautiful landscape. As it stands alone, it is very quiet. Very nicely equipped with everything you need but also with books. As it is a 30 min drive to the next city (Patreksfjörður) and the supermarkets there are quite basic albeit expensive, we would recommend to bring food supplies from the more (South-)Eastern parts of the country where you still find the big supermarkets like Bonus or Netto.

Edda's place was a highlight on our trip - we had 2 nights and loved it. The house is wonderfully comfortable, warm & homely with truly beautiful surrounds. We loved all the interesting books everywhere & the comfy couches & chairs to settle into and read. Edda was a great host providing us with all the information we needed & local advice on things to do in the surrounding area. There was a beautiful bottle of red wine to welcome us on the first night which was a lovely surprise. If you are looking for a beautiful & peaceful sanctuary away from it all, this is the place!
