My parents and I had a great time at Sal's cottage. The cottage was extremely clean and was well equipped with everything we needed. The location cannot be beaten, a short walk to the beach, convenience store and a close drive to Pinery Park and Grand Bend.

Sal is an amazing host. He replies promptly to questions. The cottage was exactly as posted. It was so nice being so close to the beach. It was very clean and cozy.

Sal’s getaway cottage is a perfect place to get away with most of the amenities of home. The cottage is clean upon arrival and there is a Covid cleaning that you as the renter needs to do before you leave. Propane and internet come with the rental which is great. The cottage is a five minute walk to a private beach area but just passed it is for public use. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and restful place to vacation than Sal’s place will check the boxes.

We would stay here again. The place is clean. It has air conditioning and wifi. It is a suitable space for three adults. It is very close to the beach and next to a number of amenities (convenience store, ice cream place, food truck, gas station, laundromat). The outdoor property itself is huge and relatively well maintained (there is neatly stacked construction material here and there and the fences are broken in places so our dog could not be off leash as he would take off after the bunnies and squirrels). The wrap around deck is fabulous! Parking our pick up truck was not an issue. We were lucky to have very quiet people staying in the next unit. We did not use the fire pit. There were a laundry list of small items that the place did not have which individually was not an issue but, collectively was a bit inconvenient. The owner was responsive and had ideas to problem solve but ultimately, we went out and bought the things we needed. He did replace the microwave and bring a garbage can during the week after we notified him of the bigger issues. Be prepared to bring all of your own linens, towels, paper products, bags for garbage and recycle, hand and dish soap, spices, oil and vinegar, scissors, wine opener, Tupperware, Saran Wrap/foil, a smart device to use the television. There was a tea kettle, toaster and coffee maker. As I said, we would stay here again but we are used to better supplied spaces for the price. The winner is its close location to the beach!
