Joanna is an excellent and diplomatic hostess of a house nestled in idyllic countryside. I made a very last-minute booking, so was very pleased and surprised how flexible she was around this, nothing too much trouble. She gave very detailed and helpful instructions of how to get to her place. Stepping out of the car, the first thing you'll notice is the profound silence, that seems to seep into your bones while your soul (and eardrums) relax. Yes, there might be some farm-related noises (and in fact, on the night I was visiting there seemed to be a party at a nearby farm!), but the serenity still makes itself felt throughout. You can walk in the nearby fields, and knowing that access is relatively restricted makes it perfect for hikers who are dipping their toes into going on longer solo walks. There are dogs, but all I encountered were well-behaved. A bonus for stargazers: this is an area with very little light pollution, so on a clear night you can expect an almost pristine sky.

The view from the room across Market Harborough was beautiful - the house quiet and serene - Joanna was a lovely attentive host who made you feel right at home and cooked a lovely tasty breakfast in the morning - I would happily stay there again

The accommodation was just as described, Joanna the host was very helpful and I had a great stay. Definitely my favourite stay to date.
