We had a wonderful weekend here celebrating my Mums birthday. The house was a perfect place stay for the whole family , meeting everyone’s needs. Spacious and clean with fantastic communication from the host and the fresh flowers were appreciated. We will re book!

Great location, so close to the lake and railway. Also great hotel pub very near to this house. Lovely surroundings. Great hot tub and good bathrooms with en-suites. Big kitchen which is great for cooking breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here for a long weekend.

The house is a lovely property that has some unique impressive features - largely in the design of the house and the garden. The property in terms of its interior is very basic and therefore doesn't feel homely at all but if you are wanting somewhere to just sleep and cook for a stay in the lakes then it ticks the boxes in terms of cleanliness and amenities. The property generally has everything you need however we were let down by one of the bedrooms not having any towels, also there isn't soap in every en-suite which is a bit unhygienic and something you would expect to have. The major disappointment we had was turning up to a dirty bbq which we had planned to use. The host knew of our intention to use the bbq in advance as we asked about coals however when we went to use it there was still food left on it from last time and very dirty so in our eyes wasn't useable. Overall its a nice property that does the job but we felt it could definitely be improved with some simple touches.

What a beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. We found it was a perfect location as it was easily accessible, walking distance to a couple of hotel restaurants if you want to eat out, and close to Lakeside pier at the South of Windermere. If you don't want to get out and explore by car you can easily access the ferry, local steam train and there are some lovely walks in the area. Emma is so responsive. If you have any problems just drop her a message, she's so lovely and approachable. We had issues with hot water but it looked like previous guests had played with the boiler. Emma popped over and it was easily sorted. The only other thing to note is that we have big cars- we found parking at the property a bit of a struggle initially but we eventually parked one car in the garage and another in front of the garage which worked ok. Would highly recommend this place- one thing Emma said was treat this place like your own and it did feel like home even if just for a few days!
