Daf's cottage provided the perfect quiet base to spend a week walking the dog and exploring the Moor, as well as organising a renovation from!. It felt like being and home and had everything you could need. I am certain to be back in the future!

We spent 4 very relaxing peaceful days at Daf's. The Shed was very handy for walking on Dartmoor and exploring the area as we had intended. We were extremely comfortable in the Shed and felt very relaxed. Widecombe is easy to get to where there are two pub/restaurants and a cafe if you do not wish to cook while on holiday. We enjoyed two dinners at The Rugglestone Inn. We also found a great Italian restaurant in Ashburton (very traditional with no pizzas or lasagna) delicious food, a treat, called Emilias. The weather was absolutely fantastic so saw Dartmoor in a different light almost! The Shed is central to it all .We hope to return!

Stayed four nights . Perfect for walkers, walk from the door to the moor. I walked , loved the history and the nature. Glorious area . Good wildlife/ nature . Birds , swallows chirruping , bull finches outside the window , frog every evening on outside step and bats galore . Heard foxes. Yes excellent place for walkers and lovers of countryside . I would like to stay in the autumn to catch the wonderful colours . I have to return for a cuppa with Daf and Ken to find out more about Dartmoor ponies .

Ideal spot for exploring Dartmoor on foot or by car. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to any avid hikers.

Simple but very well located cottage on a farm. Well equipped. Amazing walks at your doorstep. Owners live next door with their nice dogs and are very friendly. Very good base for Dartmoor
