We spent a week at the schoolhouse and it was wonderful. the house is nicely remodeled, well appointed, and clean. Connie was very generous with her time and shared recommendations to restaurants and sights to explore in the area. we really enjoyed our stay, my only wish is that it could fit 4 people as it would be a lovely place to share a weekend with friends. definitely recommend this stay!

We visited during snowstorms and frigid temperatures, but the schoolhouse was very warm and cozy. The place is an aesthetical gem with an interesting history. It has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The schoolhouse is located on a beautiful large property and it was nice to take a winter stroll (we even saw some deer). It's also within walking distance to the Historic Barns of Nipmoose. The schoolhouse is conveniently located close to many hikes in VT, NY, and MA. We highly recommend this place!

Buskirk School House, 8 days in October. This gem is a brilliant integration of nature and nurture, architectural form and function, craftsman detail, comfort and charm. The fact that it exists, where it exists, and is so very wonderful is a celebration of history, care and hospitality. Every amenity was provided. This is the perfect destination for those who love nature, leaf peeping, historic barns, rolling farmland, country roads and elegant silence. Perfect!

The school house is a magical place inside and out. Our week there was like living in a Wyeth painting. The space itself is an impeccable and inspiring restoration of an old school house. Every detail was thoughtfully created with Airbnb users in mind. A kitted out kitchen made the stay nice and homey. Nearby there are plenty of beautiful fields and country roads to wander down. It’s a great place to relax and ground. Connie was a very special host— generous of spirit and passionate about the spaces she creates. We felt genuinely cared for. She and her team went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful stay. Don’t think twice to book this place

Can’t speak highly enough of this place and host. I stayed here for three weeks with my two dogs and had a wonderful time. The old school house has been converted into a fantastic place for a couple who is looking to stay in the peace and quiet of the rolling hills of Hoosick or for someone who has to get some work done like I did. The house is impeccably maintained and equipped. You could stay there permanently if needed. The decor is also way above the usual Airbnb, you can really tell the host has put time and effort into making this place feel like home. There is a big file with all the information you need about the house and areas surrounding . And if you need to know anything more the host is always willing to help you out with some suggestions. I have stayed in many Airbnb’s over the years and this one ranks amongst the best of them!
