Guests stay in a home with historic features, contents, and charm charm charm. All the amenities, great location, privacy, surroundings. This is not a modernized sanitized soulless experience. Yet it has all the things you need and more. Lots and lots of books! Our host is very responsive and loves meeting people, but also gives guests their space and privacy. And homemade pie! You just walk in and live there, the same as if you simply lived in Vermont yourself.

My family of 5 loved staying at this historic home. There's plenty of room for everyone. Lots of extras. Not like other places where there's barely any towels, blankets, etc. The history around this home is amazing. We only stayed one night but we wish we had time to explore all of this massive home. And don't forget the beautiful mountain views!

Julia's place was just as she listed. We were amazed at so many interesting items in the old farmhouse which had been in her family for decades! Each room was tastefully decorated as if from another time. We explored each room and enjoyed playing an assortment of old records. It was as if we were staying in a museum. The beautiful, peaceful location was easy to find, and we were fortunate to meet Julia who is an absolutely wonderful host, ready to help with any need. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, spices, etc. and things were easy to find. The hot tub was soothing. When traveling, I like staying at a place where I can do a little laundry and cook meals, so Julia's place had that added benefit. Because of the many, many antique items I would not suggest this location for a family with young children, as even I was concerned about knocking into something and breaking it. However, for any couples or families with older children, this is an absolute great find.

My family and I ADORED Julia's beautiful home. Located just off the road in a quiet and peaceful yet accessible close to other towns and restaurants. The house holds so much history, and you can feel the generations of family. Julia is kind, communicative, and had anything and everything you could ever need for your stay. The house sits on a beautiful peace of land with hiking trails. Would 100% stay here again. And Opie is a delight!

What a special place! It’s a trip back in time, but with all the modern amenities you need. It’s a beautiful setting in the woods near a babbling stream with gorgeous views of the hills and stars. The adults really enjoyed the hot tub and the kids loved all the antique treasures especially the dollhouse. The cozy robes in every room were a great touch as the evenings and mornings are feeling cooler. Julia is so welcoming and we felt right at home!
