Cabin was very clean and comfortable, well heated and cooled with a hot tub to melt away the stress of driving through mountains everyday. Fresh eggs sold right down the road and close to Bryson City for some quick essentials shopping. Fenced in backyard/deck area is beautiful for grilling and making s’mores over the fire! Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to escape everyday life for a little while and find some peace.

This trip was for my birthday weekend. A waterfall chasing adventure. I saw 15 waterfalls over 3 days on this trip and absolutely loved having the cabin as “home base” for all my exploring. It was so cute, perfect for its mountain location. It has everything you need and wayyyy more. But do what the host suggests…. screenshot the directions (and entry code) because I had NO cell service. However, the internet was awesome once I got checked in.

The cabin was lovely and the perfect size for 2. It was a great place to recharge and reset. It was clean and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and again just a lovely place.

We may live close to the beaches now, but our hearts are always in the mountains! We fell in love with Bryson City after vacationing there for several years. So, it just made sense to host our first cabin rental there. We hope you fall in love with the area as fast as we did :) We enjoy being outdoors with our 2 year old Goldendoodle Marlow. Whether his head is out the window of the truck, paws deep in the water, or hiking straight up the mountain - our 4 legged boy pretty much goes everywhere with us! One of our long term goals is to hold hands while we hike the trails well into retirement years. To stay healthy, we are both very active in Crossfit (we love dropping into Crossfit 2232 near downtown Bryson City when in town). When on mountain time, we try to wake up early and hit the trails to start our day. A cold beer at a brewery and Marlow playing in any water adds to our adventures. Our plan is to retire in the Colorado Springs area and complete as many of the 53 Colorado 14ers as possible (have a few knocked off the list already!). We look forward to reading all about your adventures in our guest book and hope that you feel safe and comfortable making great memories in our Bear Paws Cabin :)
