Located in the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills, the resort offers 2,700 acres for guests to enjoy golf, tennis, and other outdoor activities. Water sports and hiking are available on site at beautiful Lake Lure and Bald Mountain Lake. In addition to the two 18-hole golf courses and four tennis courts, the resort offers a spa and fitness center, lazy river and both indoor and outdoor pools, and at mealtime, enjoy a cocktail at the Lounge before dining in the on-site restaurant. The townhouse does not have a lake view. The lake is 1-2 miles from the townhouse. The property rents golf carts or you can drive to the lake. 2 Bedroom A two bedroom unit features a king size bed in the master bedroom and two double beds in the guest room. The unit includes a full kitchen, a sleeper sofa, and two bathrooms. The unit is equipped with a washer and dryer, a fireplace, A/C and a jacuzzi. This is a very nice condo. If you don't mind not beind directly lakefront, this place is a real treat. It's very quiet and cozy.
Terry’s place was great for a family trip to Lake Lure! There was plenty of space and scenery at the resort. The cabin is a little dated but was clean and accommodated my family very well. We would stay again!
Lake Lure is beautiful. However, the aesthetics were lost in this unit.

Also near the resort are the Smokey Mountains, Chimney Rock, and the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site.
From I-26 take exit 67-turn on Hwy 108E, go 6 miles. Turn on Hwy 9N, go 11 miles. Turn right on Hwy 64/74E and go approximatly 4 miles. Turn left on to Bill's Creek Rd-SR1008. Go 2.5 miles, turn left onto Buffalo Creek Rd. Go 2/10 mile, turn right onto Herman Wilson Rd. Go 1/10 mile, the Welcome Center is on right on a hill. From I-40, take exit 81, turn South onto Sugar Hill go 4.5 miles. Turn right and continue on Sugar Hill/Montford Cove Rd, go 7 miles. Turn right onto Bill's Creek Rd, go 7.5 miles. Turn right onto Buffalo Creek Rd., then go 2/10 of a mile and turn right on Herman Wilson Rd. Go 1/20 of a mile and the Welcome Center will be on the right on a hill.

The Units Listed are privately owned and not a promotion through the property. Check in is arranged at the front desk/office. Most of the units available are fully stocked condos with all of the dishes/cookware/linens needed! They also have full kitchens unless noted. Just bring your groceries and move in! Its a great way to vacation! Some properties don't update their new reservations until the week of check in so don't worry if they don't have it immediately! The inventory confirmed is reliable. Most properties require a credit card at check in for security deposit only. Management is on site and housekeeping and maintenance is available if a need arises....
