If you are visiting Sydney as a tourist and want a taste of living like a local, or you are on a business trip and find hotels depressing, you will love the homely stay with Melissa, who is a warm and welcoming host. I found the bed very comfortable, and after the airport curfew at 11pm it is very quiet overnight with just the fruit bats calling softly as they fly past. The lush courtyard outlook, generous shower head and capacity to fold the bed away to make room for yoga or other floor workouts all add to the appeal. The location is brilliant, with the marvels of King St at your doorstep, trains every few minutes to the city and free unlimited on street parking in front. As mentioned in other reviews, the space is much more cluttered than in the photos. There is limited ventilation other than the main door, which I think explained the musty smell that was most intense in the wardrobe. As mentioned in the listing you walk through the main house to get to the studio.

Melissa is a great host. Very welcoming, helpful and flexible. She let us check in before the official check in time, which was great after a night flight. The bathroom had a great shower and a skylight - very pleasant. Peaceful sleep at night. No parking on premises but there was always on-street parking available for free, so that was great. The room itself, however, was more cluttered than photos on the listing showed, so it felt different and was less spacious than expected. That aside the location is great and the host is super nice. Recommended.

Peaceful studio room with enough space for yoga. Has a good kitchenette, new shower. The sink/ basin in the bathroom is a bit small but other than that everything is great.
