Comfortable family home located directly on the Vecht River in Amsterdam's Lake District, just 20 minutes by car from Amsterdam, Utrecht and Hilversum. Take a morning swim after sipping coffee on the front porch, then rinse off with a warm outdoor shower. Enjoy evening meals in the private backyard watching the sunset or read a book in the hammock and watch boats go by. This is paradise, where every day feels like a vacation. This house offers Scandinavian design, modern comfort (screens, vents in windows), 3 yards to choose from, and plenty of space. Enjoy nature at your fingertips while still close enough to Amsterdam to enjoy all the sites the city has to offer. Best of both worlds.

What a wonderful home from home! We were two families, eight people, and loved our stay over the Easter weekend. The house was as described, very tidy and a lovely welcome food package left. We particularly enjoyed being in the living room with the large dining table for meals and playing card games and curling up in the den watching tv. One of the best things for us was the private dock as we love paddle boarding, so enjoyed a few trips out during our stay on the hosts boards and our own boards. Highly recommend the house and host!
Wir haben uns in dem wunderschönen Haus sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein Highlight ist die große Küche, sodass Kochen mit Freunden viel Spass macht. Hannah ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin, der es sehr wichtig ist, dass wir uns wohl fühlten und dass wir alles haben, was wir brauchten.
Hannah a été une hôte parfaite. La communication était fluide, elle était disponible pour toutes nos questions. De plus, la maison est très jolie et très bien équipée ! Nous avions pu découvrir Loenen et également Amsterdam, accessible très facilement en transports en communs. Je vous recommande chaudement cette hôte, vous ne serez pas déçu de l’accueil !

Loenen a/d Vecht (population 4500) was voted most beautiful village of the Netherlands multiple times and rightly so. There's a historic grain windmill just 20 meters from the house, followed by the Dorpstraat with magazine-worthy homes and immaculate yards - you'll feel like you're in a Charles Dickens story. There's a Jumbo supermarket, baker, wine shop, hairdresser, and drugstore all within walking distance.
The bus stop that takes you to Amsterdam (1 hour total door-to-door), among other places, is just a 7 minute walk from the house (Amsterdam is 20 min by car from property). There are loads of jogging and walking routes as soon as you exit the property. You may also choose to swim or kayak off your own private dock in the Vecht River.
