Our beautiful 2000sq ft 3 bed, 2 bath cabin sits on a secluded 3.3 acres on the Wilson River, 1hr from Portland. Explore forest trails, and 400ft of Wilson River frontage. Sit around the campfire and listen to Bear Creek WATERFALL 💦 meets the Wilson River. Our fully stocked kitchen is great for those who love cook, including an epic coffee set-up and Proud Mary Coffee bag as a gift! Gorgeous natural linens, comfy beds, record player, wood stove, BBQ on the deck to river views…. @bearcreekfalls Only 1hr to Portland, 15 minutes to Tillamook, and 30 minutes from the Oregon coast. Our property sits on the bank of the Wilson River, that is renowned for some of the best fishing. Our land runs along 400ft of river frontage. We have set up the space to be a real retreat, both inside and outside. We have lots of forest trails to explore, so nature is right at your doorstep. Our place is great solo, as a couples retreat, or a big group or family trips! Our kitchen is fully stocked for those who love to cook, good pots and pans, knives etc. we also have a gas BBQ (grill) and another charcoal grill on the front deck, with table and chairs, and lots of other seating. The coffee set up is great, kettle (tea or coffee), coffee grinder, Ratio batch brewer, and pour over. To minimize our footprint, we use eco-friendly products in the home like Who Gives A Crap, Dropps, Blueland, to name a few. We have nice natural linens, feather down pillows, and duvets, Pendleton woolen blankets & cotton throws. We have a TV, so you can load up Netflix etc. for chill out time. The reading nook downstairs is a nice relaxing spot, with lots of books to kick back and snuggle up with. We have camping chairs, and camping plates and cups for campfire hangs, near our private waterfall where Bear Creek and the Wilson River meet - the sound is epic! In Fall and Winter seasons the fireplace in the house is so nice to snuggle up next to, yes your can use the wood stove. The home also has wall heaters, and oil heaters so you’ll be sure to be nice and snug! Our place is great for families, couples retreats, friends getaways, or even flying solo! For families, we have an upstairs playroom, with toys, and lots of kids books. The downstairs bathroom has a half bath, great size for bathing kids. STRICTLY NO PARTIES. NOTE: Steps that lead down to the Wilson River are steep and can be difficult, do not attempt if you find hiking hard. To access the riverbank there are steps some of the way, then you need to carefully hike down the side of the waterfall, a natural staircase. Currently due to heavy rains, the river bank along the Wilson is not accessible (Fall and Winter). Bear Creek is however accessible all year round. No cell range, but we have good WiFi, this is the perfect place to unplug! The WiFi is fast. PETS NOT ALLOWED: We do not allow pets as we have a family member with allergies, and they stay at the property regularly. Unfortunately this applies to emotional support animals and service animals, as animals can exacerbate allergies and other health issues for the co-occupant. RECOMMENDATIONS/LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: Take a drive to Pacific City to climb the giant sand dune. Short Sands is anothet must, and is a gorgeous little day trip. Pronto Pup in Rockaway beach is fun, Rockaway is the birthplace of corn dogs! Near there is a boardwalk through old growth forest, where you’ll see one of the biggest trees ever at ‘Rockaway Beach Old Growth Nature Preserve’ old growth forest 🌲 Kelly’s Brighton Mariana serves fresh crab 🦀 all year round, and is a great stop for lunch (note: they don’t serve any sides, it’s just crab). Tillamook Creamery, of course - world class cheese and ice cream! Blue Heron, gorgeous little petting zoo for the kiddos, delicious food, try their Reuben Sandwich on rye! In Summer they have food trucks also. They also have a wonderful gift store, and Candy Shop!
