My husband Mike and I are the proprietors of "Peace of Pinehurst", a recently renovated, short term vacation rental property located in Pinehurst, North Carolina. As full time residents of this lovely 125 year old village, we are excited to share an unsurpassed experience whether it's your first time visiting or you are returning guests. A little about us... Mike grew up in nearby Sanford and lived in Pinehurst where he raised his daughters. When they left for college Mike moved to Greensboro but knew someday he would return to Pinehurst for good. Lyla had lived in San Diego for over 20 years, and was ready for change. She always wanted to retire in a small town with a close knit community where priorities are faith, family and friends. Pinehurst was the perfect place! Destiny brought Lyla and Mike together. The two fell in love after knowing each other for years as business acquaintances. They moved to Florida where they enjoyed exploring the golf courses but it never quite felt like "home". During a visit with Mike's family in Sanford they came to Pinehurst to see friends and play golf. Lyla knew the first time she visited that Pinehurst was exactly what she had been looking for. Specializing in interior design, Lyla created an elegant lodge atmosphere and with Mike's keen eye for color and detail, they completed work and appropriately named the property "Peace of Pinehurst". Nestled among the pines and with breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset, guests are invited to relax on the back deck and embrace the "peace" of Pinehurst.
