What a great place to stay! My wife and her friends went for a ladies' weekend and it did not disappoint!

We highly enjoyed our stay at Jake’s Place! It was very clean and pretty, the view from the kitchen and living room is worth the stay in itself. They had life jackets, water float toys and the kitchen was very well stocked! They had everything we needed and more. Plenty of outdoor space and seating and enough sand area to sit and play on. Our kids are ages 2-4 and I think this stay was perfect for that age range. The water is pretty shallow, there is a play set outside and puzzles/games, so it worked very well for us. Kelly was very quick to respond and answered all my questions. Checking in and out was super easy. There’s a place nearby for extra fishing and swimming options with pontoon rental as well. Not much for restaurants super close by but Willmar is only 20 min away, so there’s always options if you’re okay driving just a bit. I definitely recommend Jake’s place is you’re looking for a relaxed trip to the lake!

We had a pleasant stay at Jake's Place. We had five adults and three young kids. Nicely updated interior with what looks like new flooring and kitchen cabinets. The bunkhouse was a nice place for the kids to sleep/hangout. Beautiful lake view out of the big north facing windows. The neighborhood seems very quite and nice for walks. Kelly's instructions were easy to follow Unfortunately, the water quality of the lake was poor during out mid-August stay. I don't know if it's like that all year or if we just had a bad algae bloom, but there was a layer of green across the whole thing. We drove into Spicer four times to go to the public beach - which was very nice. But having swimming right at the location was a big reason we rented this cabin, so it was unfortunate we couldn't swim there. We also could've used a dining space in the main house. There is a nice patio set outside, but the flies during out time there eating out there wasn't pleasant.

What a spectacular daily view along with morning sunsets & spectacular sunsets! The deck welcomes you to enjoy peace , relaxation & the beauty! The house was perfect for our family and the added bonus room above the garage gave our teenage granddaughters the privacy they needed, which they loved. Great location, clean and lovely decorated home! Definitely will be back!

We loved Jake's Place! The big sliding doors were great for taking in the beauty of the lake. We loved relaxing on the deck, enjoying nightly fires and lots of fun time on the lake! We were quite pleased with our stay and many memories were made!
