Walt’s place was the perfect getaway to celebrate our birthday weekend. The house and location are beautiful!!!! We enjoyed morning coffees on the porch, a fire in the evening, and walking around his beautiful farm. Close to Blairsville restaurants and grocery stores. Will be coming back for sure!

This farmhouse just wowed us. It is very well appointed, spacious and so nicely decorated. The view of the farm is bucolic and peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a family meal. We felt right at home. The bathrooms were modern and very clean. It looks old but is only a few years old with all of the modern amenities. The real treat was all of the animals. Six horses, a miniature donkey, cows, calves a dog and a cat. All were so friendly! We took advantage of the property walking up and down the gravel road past the pastures and we had a great fire in the fire ring looking at the stars that were so visible. Blairsville is a cute little courthouse square. Be sure to visit Living Water Winery! My only note to be aware of is that the loft with two twin beds has no privacy at all. Also, the "master" with the ensuite bathroom and double sinks has a double bed; wish it had a queen.

Walt is an excellent host. He is quick to respond to any communication with the warmth of a friend. He and Gwen were kind and generous in allowing us to interact with their animals. This was especially meaningful as my daughters were missing their own pets on vacation. We enjoy the peaceful feel of the property and its proximity to excellent hiking areas. It’s easy to see why Walt and his property are consistently rated with five stars.
