A expectativa de passar uns dias num moinho era grande. Ainda por cima com uma piscina só para nós. Fizemos surpresa às nossas filhas e o resultado foram 3 dias absolutamente fantásticos, com vistas deslumbrantes em 360°, com a sorte de termos apanhado 34° em outubro, o que nos permitiu usufruir da maravilhosa piscina! O moinho da Amélia excedeu todas as nossas expectativas!! Todos os detalhes decorativos, tanto no interior, como no exterior, tudo organizado de forma muito confortável e extremamente prática, apesar dos, obviamente, espaços pequenos no interior. Na zona da piscina, cadeiras, mesas, espreguiçadeiras, toldos, uma vista incrível! Os jardins cuidados, camas de rede, um sítio mágico, com um por do sol inesquecível! A simpatia dos anfitriões, as recomendações, boa conversa, simplicidade. Estamos encantados! Os adultos ficaram de coração cheio, alma renovada. As crianças e a nossa peluda canina, adoraram. Muito obrigada e, com toda a certeza, até breve!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the mill. Layton is a great host: there when we needed something and was respectful of our privacy. The property is exactly as depicted, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The calmness of the area was wonderful, the swimming pool very nice, too. We recommend this place to anyone who values a quiet holiday with fantastic views. We hope we can get back soon.

We loved our stay in the windmill, it was so relaxing - we felt happily disconnected from the world for a few days. Particularly enjoyed having the pool to ourselves (and the friendly nearby lizards). The outdoor area was really spacious , with beautiful panoramic views, and the accomodation had everything you need - accurate to description. We were able to get a Bolt car there and back from Lisbon without issue. Thanks Layton!

What a special experience! I was so excited about our plans to stay at Moinho da Amélia. A windmill. Gorgeous views, a storybook setting, a wonderful swimming pool. Unfortunately, we arrived sick puppies so did no exploring of the area but what a wonderful place to recuperate. Layton was ever ready to answer our questions and although the windmill itself is small (tiny area for an evening/morning cuppa) there is a separate cabin for cooking, eating, and lounging. Normally, this space wouldn’t have been critical but since we stayed at the windmill the entire time we sure appreciated it. And the attention to detail to make the space unique as well as comfortable was delightful. I can’t say enough about the hosts (welcome wine to farewell eucalyptus and treats to send us healing on our way). Thank you so much Layton to you and your mom for a great visit. We hope to make it back some day. Highly recommend you take some time to enjoy this special place.

Certamente vou voltar! Para amantes da natureza e da calmaria que não querem fazer grandes viagens. Um local magnífico com um piscina sobre o vale a pouco minutos d Lisboa.
