Alexander's place exceeded our expectations. It is quiet and private, and yet when you're out for a walk, you come across people riding their horses, walking their dogs, or taking a stroll. The views are beautiful during the day, and at the night sky was brilliant. Inside the main house, you walk in and feel as if you've come home for a family visit. So much thought has gone into making his place comfortable, cozy, & well equipped that it doesn't feel at all like a rented space...more like a home borrowed from a friend. While it is secluded, it's a short drive to several great places. Alex was open to communication, responded quickly and courteously and we felt that he really took a personal interest in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay. Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable in every way.

Auger Hole is a wonderful place--just gorgeous. Private, beautiful setting. It has everything you need--plenty of linens, towels, dishes, etc. Alex is a great and helpful host. Highest recommendation. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Auger Hole was wonderful. The cottages and the land were very comfortable and private with beautiful views. We came for skiing at Okemo which was great and a simple drive away. Alexander was very welcoming to have our pup who also loved the landscape and snow. As a food lover, the kitchen had everything you would need and require and there was various options for shopping. Alexander and his caretaker David were very communicative and available. I give great thanks to Dave as he came to jump our car due to our pup turning on a light and killing the battery. We really had a wonderful time and can expect that spring and summer are quite beautiful here too.

Place was great, clean, spacious. Wifi worked well. Heat can be a bit slow to work but fireplace works well. Only real negative is house is down some dirt roads. Views from the house are awesome
