Genevive and Daniel accepted our booking request at the very last minute. They were so kind and attentive! The place was clean, bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed for the stay. We loved watching the stars from the back porch and showering outside! Thanks for having us.
We really enjoyed staying at this place. It was super nice and cosy. Genevieve and Dan are welcoming and we’re very helpful by giving as recommendations around the area. If we ever come back to big Island, we would stay there again.
We are minimalist and enjoy the outdoors, walking, hiking, swimming etc. We enjoyed this balance of camping with indoor (real) bed and bathroom. The size is small but the view, and outdoors was enormous. We actually only utilized the mornings and evenings enjoying the deck, view, various critters. All our meals were prepared on the camp stove without any concerns. The days were spent exploring the beaches and volcano park. Our hosts were both pleasant, informative and amazing people. We enjoyed their friendliness very much. We had all the privacy we needed or wanted.
Second time staying here and always an amazing experience. Genevieve and Dan are such lovely, kind people, full of aloha. The grocery store is up the road (there are 2 to choose from). Our stay this time was windier at night but we always felt safe. The best beaches are approx 40min away and we saw dolphins swimming at Ho’okena! We saw a chameleon and wild peakcocks as well during our adventures. The outdoor shower is also awesome and my favourite! The beds are very comfy and the porch is great for views of the Hawaiian sunsets. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
