Our favourite place to stay in the area. Lota’s house feels like a mixture of an old cultural museum and a showcase of traditional wooden craftsmanship. It’s a simple house without modern technology but the beds are so comfortable and the ceiling fans keep the house nice and cool. There were pineapples and star fruit growing in the garden which we were allowed to eat. It was an amazing experience. Also it’s pet friendly and Lota’s family was so welcoming as usual. It’s a beautiful area to explore. Great host and home

I've stayed at a fair number of airbnb properties in my life, and this is honestly the best of them all that I have experienced. The owner's father who lives a few houses down is such a warm, accommodating, and sincerely helpful person. He is a wonderful conversationist and very intelligent. His only intention is that we enjoy our stay to the fullest. He even offered to drive us to Cantilan to catch a fan boat going to Liptong Cove. I can honestly say that without his help we probably wouldn't have found it. The caretaker is also such a sweet and friendly woman. She spent quite a bit of time daily on the grounds maintaining the lawn, plants, etc. As for the Villa itself, it is absolutely stunning. The elegant wood decor, the classy bed posts, the large glass double doors that were everywhere, it was all so beautiful. We enjoyed countless hours just staying at the Villa itself. I would come back in a heartbeat if I'm ever in Eastern Mindanao. Thank you all for everything.

Wow, this Japanese inspired house with Mediterranean styled kitchen was the perfect getaway we were looking for. It doesn’t feel like you are in Mindanao. The minimalistic vintage wood styling is so photogenic, especially when the morning or afternoon light casts beams across the furniture. Bring a camera! We stayed here as a family, my wife and myself, our 5 year old daughter and our 8 month old puppy dog. The garden is totally sealed so she could roam freely while we relaxed in the house. We loved that it was pet friendly, that really is a selling point. Also a very special mention to the host Lota and her father. If there was a status above Superhost here on Airbnb she deserves that award. Our boat was cancelled for several days due to storms at sea and she arranged for our dates to be adjusted without any fuss at all. On top of that Lota allowed us to stay an extra night free of charge. Amazing. Lota’s father greeted us and he was so kind and hospitable. He even invited us for dinner on the first night and offered to drive us anyway we wanted to go for sightseeing etc. ☺️ If there is any problem with the property he was very quick to come and help. But at the same time he was very respectful of our privacy too. We spent our whole vacation just relaxing at home doing nothing and it was bliss This house and the area of Carrascal is beautiful. We highly recommend staying here. We will come back in the future for sure.
