5 STARS! Better than it looks! Amazing detail, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Literally better than a five star hotel that would much more expensive. Do yourself a favor, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Pam and Jim were great hosts. They offered great tips about what to do and helpful advice about what to avoid or watch out for. The Bears Den is a comfortable space with great access to Mirror Lake and the town of Lake Placid.

We could not have asked for a better place or experience! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan to return in the fall. The owners are so accommodating and the Bear’s Den is quiet and restful. We loved the fire pit and hammock! They have thought of everything!

simply put pam and jim are without a doubt the best hosts i have encountered on airbnb. they were incredibly warm, communicative and helpful throughout our stay. their place is beautiful, clean and perfectly situated in the lake placid/mirror lake area. highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Pam and Jim are exceptional hosts. Bear’s Den was lovely as were the surrounding gardens. Our pup, Quincy, was very comfortable and openly welcomed. We were steps away from Mirror Lake and in walking distance to downtown Lake Placid. The hiking was great too. We will definitely be back. Five stars all around.
