The studio was magical. Very close to downtown Northampton; walkable to everything. Joanna and Christian were lovely hosts, always making sure we had everything we needed. The home was fragrance and chemical free, which was new to us, but Joanna provided everything we needed and made it very simple to live without fragrances for a few weeks. We loved the area, and especially loved the studio which is big, open, and airy -- outfitted with all the things we needed. 100% recommend. Would have stayed even longer if it had been available!
Joanna had a wonderful place to stay. I’ve stayed in a lot of airbnbs and have rated this stay by far the BEST stay I’ve ever had. Joanna was always so responsive and helpful when I had questions or issues. You won’t find a better place to stay! I had a long term stay and the private apartment style home was perfect for multiple weeks. Highly recommend!!!
We loved the studio. The yard, in winter, of course was not in bloom but we would love to see it in the summertime. Unfortunately we came down with Covid upon arrival for our two weeks over Christmas. Joanne was the most gracious host about our ordeal. She offered to help with anything we might need during our quarantine. The space was warm and comfortable. Plenty of open space and there were 3 different desk or tables for us to wrap holiday presents we could not deliver. The fish still swam in the pond even with a thin layer of ice on top. Would be lovely to sit beside during the summer. We recommend Joanne's place for a great, relaxing place to stay with gracious host and very close to downtown.
We were met in person to show us the place, and Joanna could not have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in late November when it was well below freezing at night, but the heating was well up to the task and the room felt warm at all times. The hot water was very hot! The bed was very comfortable, and the room was very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was working. This is a very spacious apartment, with plenty of room for my wife to do her yoga practice. It is only 5 minutes walk from the railway walking trail, and about the same from the Arcadia Meadows conservation area, which is easily accessed from just behind the housing estate. We walked into town for all our meals, only about 10 minutes walk - with a huge variety of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again.
Joanna was a fabulous host! The space was light-filled and beautiful. Downtown Northampton was just a 10 minute walk. There were so many amazing restaurants. Smith College was also wonderful to visit. I definitely recommend staying with Joanna during your stay.

I was a dancer and traveled extensively all over the world and based myself in Barcelona, Spain for almost 10 years where I appeared in 40 television commercials. I also had an antique shop and art gallery in the fishing village of Cadaques where Salvador Dali and many other famous artists have lived. Many of my friends were architects, designers and artists. I have also spent a lot of time in Kauai. I more recently spend part of the year in Brazil in a wonderful community where people come from all over the world. For many years I have been dedicated to making a difference in the world through a nonprofit organization I founded called Remineralize the Earth. I am passionate about nature, hiking, creating a new vision for a new Earth and sustainable communities as well as food, film and culture.
