We have a lovely couple of days, easy parking opposite, lovely stroll into the City Centre, the location was ideal for us.

Nicky's place is conveniently located and closed to the city centre. Very neat and clean. On day 2 though, the heating didn't come on and we were very cold through the night. Nicky responded to the message and came the next day morning to help us. But she and her friend were quite rude and unfriendly when they saw that we had another couple with us which was only for a short duration (it was our daughter's birthday and we cut a cake before we headed into the town). Nicky's friend also peeped into the room and this was a huge invasion of privacy and to be honest completely uncalled for, since we were frank about telling them that we had those friends for the cake cutting only! So, our experience was not good, overall! Also, the dishwasher was broken where the tablets goes on, so it was quite inconvenient to use it. Not many pots and pans in the kitchen either (atleast for us since we wanted to prepare some food for our toddler!).

Great place to stay, very private, easy walk into York, great location

We stayed 2 Nights as a couple along with our 3 months old kid at Nicki’s place during our visit to York. The cottage was overall in a very clean condition when we arrived & was exactly as described in the listings in a very peaceful locality. Nicki was responsive to our queries and generously allowed us to check-in an hour early. Note there are few stairs to climbs ( up & down ) to reach the cottage which we had a slight difficult time due to our baby’s travel system. Will certainly recommend this place for a calm and peaceful stay in the heart of York !
