Wonderful stay. Hosts were everything great about AirBnB. Great place to see Hadrian's Wall from.Try the Allen bank walk just a few kms away.Just a beautiful easy little walk.

We loved our stay here. Mychael and Lisa had thought of everything…. Even down to providing popcorn next to the tv, a disposable poncho, games and so much more.

We were met by Mychael on arrival with a friendly greeting and the flat was fully stocked with everything you could need or want, including breakfast and Prosecco in the fridge and other touches like newspaper in the morning, tooth brushes etc :-D Mychael's communication was fantastic throughout our stay and we really felt cared for, giving it a luxury feel. Our greyhound Hannah was also treated very well, with doggy bed, treats and even doggy shampoo for any ramblers! The location was great, in the middle of the village in a picturesque location on the stream and near the station/ bus stop for convenient access to Hexham, Corbridge and others. It is also a good starting place for some nice countryside walks. The flat itself was very nicely decorated, with a good comfy bed (+sofa bed) and other amenities. As it was winter though the kitchen area was quite cold, particularly under foot and we would recommend people to bring slippers! Windows are also a bit drafty and shower pressure was quite low. There is a beautiful outdoor area, including bar and fire pit by the river but due to the cold weather we couldn't use it, and this diminished the value for money a bit for us. However overall we had a fantastic and relaxing stay at The Old Post office and would recommend it particularly to those with canine friends that are on the hunt for a friendly and welcoming place to rest after a day of rambling.

The river view studio is beautiful! Many thoughtful touches throughout, and unexpected amenities. There are things tucked away in corners, on shelves, in drawers, and in nooks - it was so much fun finding them all. We had fresh coffee beans, and fresh bacon and sausage for breakfast. There was even a chiller with sparkling wine and a small crate with hand warmers, North Umbria parking pass, and spy glass. The river studio had more than I could hope for, coupled with a beautiful view and babbling brook.
