A real Victorian mansion, with room after room decorated with incredible attention to detail, and a great deal of the original finery in place. Clearly a labour of love for the proprietor/ hostess. The hostess was incredibly warm and responsive, and made great effort on our behalf (and on that of all her guests, at a frantically busy time - total solar eclipse). A house of Victorian vintage does come with limitations, though, that not even the hardest working host can overcome. There were 1.5 bathrooms shared between 4-5 bedrooms on the second floor. Creaky floorboards were plentiful. And the supply of hot water gave out under the spike in demand. I came away satisfied, nonetheless. Not to mention fascinated!

Mary is a great host. She is so enthusiastic about me and gave a tour of her house. She introduced me about the history of the house which is the first hospital in Niagara region. I am so glad along the way, I not only saw the beautiful view at Niagara Falls, but learned some history and humanity of Canadian culture.

Mary’s home is like visiting a fine museum filled with history, beautiful furnishings, and rich designs. Each of Mary’s rooms are unique and take one on a journey to another time and place. This would be the perfect place for Richard Collier to visit to find and be reunited with his love from another time. The breakfast surprise was wonderful! The proximity to Clifton Hill made this a great place to stay.

Mary was a great host. She was kind and very helpful. Her house was beautiful and comfortable, and the ad was accurate. She offers a delicious complimentary breakfast that was very filling and included fresh fruit.

It was a great place and breathtaking infrastructure. Breakfast was also included which was surprisingly good. The host is available 24/7 all day long and ready to help you. She also gives a tour of the building which was unexpected and very good. Totally recommend this place to try.
