The interaction with the hostess began negative immediately. It was agreed to hit a reset button, and things improved moving forward. Felt asthmatic for the first time in over 20 years when heating vents were active. I am allergic to cats and dust mites. Unsure of what the trigger was. Had issues with balancing hot and cold water in shower. Bathroom and kitchen are common areas with about 6 other guests. Iron and board are listed as amenities, but a 2x2' mat and a dirty unit from the 70s is not ample. It's not a place to stay if traveling with dresswear. People who are intolerant of cohabitating with smokers should move on. (I'm not.) Overall, I was voluntarily penny pinching. Looking back, I would have paid more for something better.

Room was exactly what I expected and host was very nice. The house is old but very clean and other guests are very respectful. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfy. I was quite happy with my stay and will probably return again in the future.
