Jean-Marie and Christine were very welcoming and met us on our arrival. They showed us around the beautiful home that we had booked for 3 days. Every convenience was supplied to us including a bottle of wine, food in the fridge, washing liquid for the washing machine and soaps and hand wash. We found the decoration very tasteful and comfortable for us. It is a great location for driving along the Dordogne river and to see all the sights of both Perigord and Bordeaux regions. We wished we had time to stay longer. Thanks Christine and Jean-Marie.

One could not hope to encounter two friendlier people than Christine & Jean Marie. They were so charming that I wished that I were related to them. Nothing was too much to ask, and they were always amusing and cheerful. Due to a fall that injured my right leg, that put me on crutches, they even drove us back to Bordeaux to catch our train back to Paris. The accommodation is elegant and comfortable, providing everything one would need. I can highly recommend staying with them.

Where to start? How about magical? The gite was everything as described & more. We stayed 6 nights & it couldn't have been better. The gite is impeccable - from a full kitchen to the patio, & the decor looks like something out of a magazine, everything was excellent. Jean-Marie met us at the alley just to make sure we found it ("maps" was perfect), to the beautiful tray of smoked meats, cheese, & a bottle of wine as a gesture of welcoming hospitality. It was divine. The location is Cours de Pile outside of Bergerac (a 10-minute drive to the old town area - 5 minutes to a full grocery - around & up the hill to the local boulangerie, & more). An hour to St Emilion & Montcaret, Sarlat, a bit longer to Geoffre de Paridac, & an hour or so to Les Caux. So much to do, & so little time when you want to just curl up on the patio & soak in some Frenchness. The gite is 3 stories of 18th c or so, curved stairs. Be sure you are OK with that. Otherwise, it is fabulous, as are the hosts!!

We really enjoyed our stay and we couldn't have wanted anything more. The accommodation was fantastic and the hosts were very helpful.

Eine sehr schöne, behagliche Unterkunft mit besonderem Charme und Charakter, in der es wirklich an nichts fehlt. Ich kann mich den überaus positiven Bewertungen der anderen Urlaubsgäste nur anschließen. Sehr angenehme und freundliche Gastgeber.
