Great little place if you are wanting a base camp to explore the Portland area. Parking was a little tight for our bigger car but we made due. Served our needs. Meredith was prompt and kind in messages. Would stay again!
Such a cozy cabin! There was everything we needed. Meredith was totally supportive, helpful and nice! We enjoyed it! When we come to Portland again we definitely would book the cabin again!
The space is light-filled, w two skylights and large French doors. Outdoor patio is pleasant and quiet. Essentially one large room, it is quite adequate for two, and possible (using fold-out couch) for more. Some might find the bed a little hard and might miss that it has no backboard. Location/entrance is a little hard to find, but Meredith gave good instructions; she was responsive and communicative throughout the experience, from booking to departure.
Meredith was a fantastic host. The space was exactly as described, and perfect for what I needed. She accommodated a crazy schedule snafu on my end which I was so grateful for. Would absolutely recommend.
The patio/outdoor area in the photos (outside the French doors) is off limits to guests, so we were bummed about that and felt the photo was a bit misleading. When we came in, there were 3 mud dauber wasps flying around, but they are not aggressive so we ignored it, but if you’re spooked by bugs this is definitely not the place for you. The french doors are VERY tricky to get locked, even with the instructions provided. After trying their instructions for 15 minutes, we realized the trick is to ensure the bolt at the bottom of the door matches up perfectly. However, despite our efforts to lock the French doors, the main door to the cabin is accessed via a code, but we felt very unsafe because there is no deadbolt (just the code) and the code clearly had not changed in a long time (the code was in the guestbook, which was worn and has several crossed out changes throughout), meaning any past guests could walk in at any time. We ended up pushing furniture up against the door at night
