We loved Katarina’s place. It was in a secluded yet central location and had huge doors we opened to create a true indoor/outdoor feel. It had apparently rained a few days beforehand and the small stream running through the properly created a soothing background sound. During our stay, Katarina’s mum would stop by and drop off small food items she had prepared with ingredients from her garden. Very tasty! Katarina and her mother were very responsive and wanted to ensure we were having a great time (we definitely were). Katarina also helped us charter a boat for the Elaphiti islands which was a wonderful day on the water. The house was very comfortable and was fully stocked with lots of extra towels and linens. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Mlini shoreline (recommended) and a ~15 minute drive to Old Town Dubrovnik. Katarina and her mum were wonderful hosts and we are already thinking how we can return! Wonderful place to stay. Thank you Katarina!

The River House was a perfect holiday retreat and the photos and description are spot on. Katarinas mother was delightful and welcomed us as if we were family and regularly popped round with local treats and advice as to where to visit. The house itself is well furnished with comfort in mind, the kitchen perfectly equipped so you can cook at home if you want to, with nice touches such as shower gel and shampoo - in summary it has everything you need. We hired a car but to be honest the public transport is so good and parking in general not easy we wouldn't bother next time. (Parking easy and safe at the house). Thank you Katarina and Mama, we will be back

Well located and homely villa. Exactly as described in the listing and shown in the pictures. Well equipped kitchen for dining in and close to restaurants in Mlini for eating out. Bus stop located within 5 min walk for trips to Dubrovnik and Cavtat if you want to avoid driving or taxis. Katarina was very responsive and helpful while her mother lives in a nearby property in case of any issues. She was very warm and generous with additional fruit and jams. We had a very relaxing few days in the villa, it felt very homely, and would have no hesitation in recommending it as a perfect base for exploring the region.

River House is just lovely! It was just as pictured and there was everything that you could possibly need. Katarina arranged for the house to be ready early for us which was great! We hired a car for the week but hardly used as we could walk into Mlini and caught the boat into nearby Dubrovnik. Katarina’s mother ‘mama’ was the perfect hostess visiting us daily with delicious treats and giving advice about the area etc. We had a fabulous time and were really sad to leave but I know that we will return. All in all an amazing holiday in beautiful Croatia 🥰

We are a family of 5 adults who have just returned from a 10-night stay at River House. We had a wonderful holiday. River House is beautifully situated surrounded by mountains next to a river with easy access (by boat, Uber or bus) to Dubrovnik. We loved the outside space at the house, and the pool. We had BBQs most evenings. We ordered shopping from Super Konzum in Kupari for the day of our arrival and Katarina picked it up for us which was super helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area - you can walk down steps through the shaded trees down to Mlini in 10 minutes which had some pretty beaches. We also took the ferry from Mlini port to Dubrovnik, Lokrum Island, and Cavtat. Katarina's wonderful mum popped by most days to check everything was OK and to bring little home-made treats - pastries, jams, fruit, limoncello, schnapps. We would definitely recommend River House for a great holiday.
