The private compound is quite large and peaceful, and it's location is in a desirable part of town off of Spur Loop beyond the Chinese Embassy and opposite from Stadium Compound. The map location is a bit off, making it slightly hard to find the place. A map search for past the Chinese Embassy to between between Woodland Estates Freetown and Zadet School will guide you to the house. The group of guys on staff were very friendly and helpful, but guests need a local SIM to call them whenever arriving to the house. The house itself has some age and disrepair. But it's massive, with plenty of spacious bedrooms and common areas. The 2024 power crisis meant almost no grid electricity here or anywhere else in Freetown. So the house was very hot during the day. The generator was used at night, and it was strong and quite loud. It was necessary for guests to pay for generator fuel. It's a long walk to Bottom Mango for transit, so guests need to have a car – or have comfort taking moto-taxis.

My family and I stayed two weeks. We felt right at home. There was a local contact that could organise everything we needed. And also a very caring Housekeeper. In the night there was two Security Guards in the Compound. The Apartment was very spacious. Good Water Pressure, Generator was working when there was a power outage. Our boys loved the Garden and Grounds around the House. We shall be back.

Loved being at what we would describe as our second home! Tamara is an incredible host and all the security and house help are the most amazing people we’ve ever met! My kids still speak of them! If your in Sierra Leone and need a place this would be my recommendation! Honestly the very best air Bnb experience we’ve ever had! We’re already planning a trip to return! Thanks to everyone for everything you did to make us feel at home!!! Such an incredible experience!!!

This house is a beautiful house and very well located in Freetown. Mis Salay and Mister Allusin, the guard, are both friendly and dedicated to help in any ways, very responsive. The garden and the porch/ Balcony offers a nice view and space to be outside. The apartment is spacious and clean, moskito screens on every windows are appreciated. You have your own security 24/7. The kitchen is great and have basic stuffs but not more (no can opener, no small sharp knife, no functioning blender...). There was instant coffee, sugar and tea but no salt/ pepper and oil like the description says. The TV is great and internet was working fine but we had to buy our own Netflix package to enjoy it. ACs are only in the bedrooms and we ran out of credit so didn't have AC for one night as they had to top up in the morning. If they make sure there is enough credit, AC in the rooms is great. We didn't have hot water, not sure the reason for that. We were the first guests so sure it's going to improve :-)
