L'habitation est très bien située pour visiter Ronda, Antequera, El Caminito del Rey, Malaga et Cordoue. Il faut savoir qu'il y a effectivement un chemin carrossable de 5 km mais qui demande 20 mn pour être parcourue, c'est une petite contrainte à prendre en compte pour l'organisation ! ! nous avons eu un petit souci sur deux nuits rendues difficiles par la présence de familles espagnoles très expressives et très festives. Sur place il y a plusieurs logements qui au final peuvent accueillir beaucoup de monde donc il faut partager les piscines, les espaces de jeux, les parkings et parfois subir les fêtes (chansons, guitare, tambourin.... c'est le folklore ! ) qui durent jusqu'au petit matin malgré l'intervention de José Maria et de la police...

After visiting Sevilla and Granada, we and our kids (10 and 12) wanted another kind of lodging, so we were attracted by this “farm”. It seems like it was located in a remote and peaceful area not too far from Antequera. We saw the pictures of nature, animals/birds, the pools and the horse riding. Perfect for a family. So, we decided to go for it. This was our last stop before leaving Spain. Antequera seemed like the perfect town to visit. Two days before arrival, the host gave us directions to get to the lodging as you have to drive over very bumpy, rocky, and unpaved roads, made for tractors, for 15-30 min until you get to the compound. There are multiple houses, tennis court and pools. It took us a few minutes to find someone to help us getting to the lodging. The friendly and helpful supervisors only spoke Spanish. Once inside, the house was clean overall except for the floor that had dirt from the farm environment which could not be helped. The house was as described in the pictures. There were dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, gas stove (had to ask for matches), full fridge, dated but working appliances, dish soap, and dish sponge. We were not looking for luxury living when traveling, so the house was fine with us as long as everything was clean, plumbing, wifi and a/c working. We then decided to minimize leaving the compound because of the road conditions leading back and forth. After settling down for a little, we went grocery shopping nearby after noting the opening time (businesses follow siesta times more so in rural areas). When we came back, a group of people were checking in. Little did we know that we would have two sleepless nights in a row. Communication with José Maria was made through Whatsapp. He was pretty quick at answering our questions. The first night, these locals partied with blasting music. They only stopped the music at 1am when José Maria’s supervisor came, I suppose; however, the people remained outdoor until later. We fell asleep of fatigue at 3am. Afraid of a second night like this, I had messaged Jose Maria to ask for a refund for the upcoming night as I thought it was a reasonable thing to inquire. I thought that the host would have been more understanding, but he stopped replying to my messages from then on. I also reached out to airbnb to ask the same thing. While José Maria did not respond to my request, airbnb customer service replied that they were checking on my inquiry…I got the message at 11:30pm….so by that afternoon, We were left without any option from either side. I had accepted the fact that we may have had another sleepless night. While we are not accustomed to Spanish night culture, we would have respected a more reasonable timeframe. During our first night message exchange, José Maria said that it is customary for Spaniards to party until midnight, which I thought I could totally respect; however, the people who partied did not seem to care about respectful hours nor other people staying in the compound. The second day, after coming back from our day trip to Antequera, we came back to the compound to find a full parking area. That night pushed the limits of acceptability. There were 40+ people partying. The music was blasting by our bedrooms windows, the cheers were loud, and all until early morning hours. We were kept up until 4am and passed out of exhaustion. This is NOT what we signed up for. José Maria apologized for his guests behavior, but he let this situation happen two nights in a row. I wish he had answered to my inquiry and relocate us. He should not mix up people who live at night and those who choose to sleep at night stay at the same time. This experience was horrible and spoiled the overall last frame of our trip.

Très bon séjour chez José Maria, les piscines sont vraiment très belles et le cadre est très reposant. Juste à garder en tête qu'il faut passer par une petite route caillouteuse pour y accéder. José Maria était très sympathique avec nous et nous avons passé un très agréable séjour.

La piscina es compartida, para mí eso es un punto negativo. Por lo demás bien, la casa está en buenas condiciones y el cortijo es muy bonito.
