Monkey Blind is a magical place. Well built and situated with a breathtaking view. Highly recommend for those seeking privacy and nature. Sparkling clean and colorful. Karen is a gracious host with generous firsthand knowledge on all the places to discover be it food, beaches or hiking .

We were on our honeymoon and chose Monkeyblind because it felt like a romantic getaway for two lovebirds in paradise. We loved the privacy and the beautiful grounds on which the guesthouse is nicely located. The views are also outstanding overlooking the sea and islands ahead. The guesthouse has tasteful furniture, and the bedroom felt like a boutique 4 star hotel with a comfortable bed, high quality linens, towels…etc. Karen was a great host and was very helpful in her recommendations for restaurants and other great locations on this peaceful and beautiful Island. We would definetly return and highly recommend Monkey Blind.

Monkey Blind was the perfect spot for my partner and me - we absolutely loved everything about it! It's in a wonderful location: at a range up the mountain enough where the breeze keeps you cool AND miraculously keeps the bugs away too. The grounds neighbor the main house, but it feels extremely private with unobstructed views of the ocean, the passing clouds, and the occasional goat crossing. Plus, Best Buy (the local market) is a short way up the street. We had everything we needed, lovely linens, walk-in shower to enjoy post-beach, hammock to reach from, porch views forever, and we cooked at home every night. We hope to come back and cannot recommend highly enough!!!

I am the kind of person who wants to see and do everything anywhere I go, which is fun but I usually end up needing a vacation from my vacation, so after much research, Nevis was my attempt to find the best of both worlds and have a nice place to get away and relax but still have plenty of great things to see and do on a smaller island that I felt like I could handle the driving on. Karen’s Monkey Blind was the absolute perfect spot for coming back to after adventures in the jungle or snorkeling on the many beaches - so peaceful up on the hill with the sounds of the jungle surrounding you. If you are mostly a resort person, this may not be your top pick, but if you are like me (I have never been one for resorts at all!) and you love a good adventure and crave the rural side of things with a side of local culture and untamed jungle, this is the perfect spot for you. You will need to rent a car to get there for sure, but Karen was SO helpful and responsive and took care of almost all of our arrival and departure transfers in and out of St Kitts, including a private water taxi and driver to/from the airport. The Monkey Blind location is perfect, there is a grocery store just down the road that has everything you could ever need, and you are just minutes from great hikes, gorgeous beaches, and Golden Rock Inn for snazzy dinner and drinks. The best part of Nevis is that you can stay out in a little rural village like this and feel very secluded, but you can hop in the car and in minutes be enjoying any of the resorts for drinks or dinner or beach access, and then return to your jungle solitude. Karen’s property is absolutely gorgeous and we saw SO much great wildlife just from sitting out on the deck. Monkeys galore, wild donkeys, wild pigs, frogs, and all kinds of birds. Also of note: I have ATT phone service and it worked great almost the entire time, google maps did surprisingly well around the island. My only mistake was upon arrival I accidentally routed to the wrong “Best Buy Grocery” so be sure you route to the one in Gingerland as there are multiple ones! We figured it out pretty quickly and all was well! Also, end of May/early June was perfect temps for us and we had no issues without A/C (Texans usually freak out if there isn’t A/C but do not be deterred!) as there was a lovely cool breeze up on the hill - I even used a light jacket on the porch on a couple of nights! Overall, just do yourself a favor and stay at Monkey Blind - thank me later! It’s incredible.

This is a beautiful cottage with a great view in Gingerland Nevis. The place is delightful in its decoration and amenities. From a fully equipped kitchen to a washer and dryer. And everything in between. The hosts have great tips to make your stay most enjoyable. Definitely make sure you know to get there as the island does not offer a full schedule of public transportation. And that is exactly the reason to go to Nevis.
