Ricardo's apartment is beautiful. It has lovely furnishings in a beautiful building with a view of the water when you are at some of the windows. Kitchen is very useful and well appointed. The apartment was clean and as advertised. The area is hilly, but it's a manageable walk up the hill to Rua Garrett and all that has to offer and the Baixa/Chiado Train station is easy to get to. The route to Cais do Sodré and the Time Out Market is a bit meandering and requires some backtracking, so it's still walkable, but not as close at it appears on the map. A couple of notes. It doesn't have central a/c, which is likely rare in Lisbon, but does have room units in each of the the bedrooms and multiple fans as well. There was a nice breeze in the evening which we mostly relied upon, but if it had been hotter, the a/c units are a bit loud and may have made it difficult to sleep. The windows are huge and open out to the street and invite a great breeze into the house. The #28 trolley goes right outside the apartment, so it can be a bit noisy as it's rolling by, but we found it lent a nice ambience. All in all, a great, comfortable, well appointed apartment in the heart of the Chiado district of Lisbon.

Ricardo's house is fantastic. It's beautifully decorated with great art and comfortable furniture. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the bottom floor let in so much light and a great cross breeze. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. It's And the location is perfect-- easy to walk to so many different neighborhoods and loads of good restaurants and shopping v close. (Be sure to go to Bao, a new restaurant that opened on the same block as this apartment. The owner is lovely and the food is fresh and delicious.). Highly recommend .

The actual apartment is beautiful. Two stories. Lots of common room to hang out if you’re with a group. The three rooms all have big beds. Just a few things. I guess a few days before our trip one of the showers broke. Tho Ricardo did let us know when it happened so we were not surprised. So there were only two showers for 6 people which is annoying. Also the room I was staying in the ac unit isn’t hooked up to the window so the hot air blows back into the room. That left it a little uncomfortable one of the nights when it was pretty humid. Our check in process was also a little messed up. I tried communicating with the host consistently as we were taking a train in from Lisbon. And after a whole day of traveling it was not ideal to wait 40 minutes for her to arrive. She was very nice and apologetic but still it’s annoying. Regardless of all that we still very much enjoyed the stay. The location is amazing about a 10-15 minute walk to everything. (It is up hill - like everything in Lisbon so get ready to strengthen your calves haha).
