A well-appointed vintage cottage on Sunset Bay on Hamlin Lake in Ludington, MI. Available for summer rentals for up to 4 adults. Enjoy a vintage 100+ year-old cottage that's been tastefully renovated to provide all of the modern conveniences of home. Includes huge wrap-around enclosed porch overlooking lake, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, loft with single bed, porch with single bed. House has stairs that lead down to a 100 ft of lakefront with boat dock. Enjoy swimming off the dock or take a quick boat trip to the sand dunes or Ludington State Park The kitchen has just been entirely renovated and features all high-end appliances and cookware. Julie’s place was just what we needed to relax and de-stress. Cozy beds, soft fluffy towels, nice amenities. We loved the lake views from the dining table especially at sunset. So peaceful sitting around the fire pit overlooking the lake. Julie provides lots of detail instructions making everything easy. We’d definitely love to stay here again.

Julie’s place was clean and in a beautiful location that was close to the amenities of Ludington while being quiet and secluded. My family and I had a great time taking in the scenery and swimming in the lake!

What more can I say that others have not? Julie’s place is fantastic. It sits on a ‘no outlet’ street making it quite private. The pictures are very accurate. The attention to detail is what I loved the most from the lovely décor to extras like Kleenex, a snack basket waiting for us, cooking supplies, fabulous All Clad cookware, as well as a thorough house manual that left no question unanswered! The house was very clean & fresh. Couldn’t muster the energy to use the SUPs available, but loved lying on the dock in the sun reading a book, which was also quite private as neighbors are blocked by boathouses. This place is a definite do-over for us!

This house was so beautiful and well furnished! We enjoyed cooking and grilling with the well-stocked kitchen/easy-to-use grill, and enjoying the lake view. The fluffy towels, super comfortable beds and all the nice clean linens/towels made us feel like we were in a resort. It felt very private and peaceful.

I can't say enough about this beautiful cottage by the lake. As soon as I walk in the door, all my stress melts away. The views of the water from the back of the house are amazing! The sunsets, absolutely incredible! The beds are so cozy, with soft sheets and fluffy pillows! It's better than home. The sun porch is my favorite! And on rainy days, I'm curled up on the daybed looking out at the lake, reading a book. I have to say, most of the time I just enjoy being at the house, down on the dock reading and getting some sun, but if you want to get out and about, Ludington State Park us incredible!! The sand dunes are amazing!! The water, pristine. Sterns Park is another favorite. All in all, a very relaxing place to unwind.

This is a very secluded are of Hamlin Lake in one of the most sought-after bays on the lake. It has great sunrises and sunsets and is generally the most protected area of the lake, making it great for boating, paddle-boarding or relaxing. It is a wooded area with lots of wildlife and trails to explore.

I'm a media and nutrition communications professional who grew up in Ludington, MI. I lived in NYC for 18 years and have recently moved to NorCal, which is proving to be nothing short of amazing. I recently bought Birch Tree Landing and have just finished renovating it. When I travel to the Midwest for work, I always try to get to Ludington to visit family and friends...and enjoy the quiet and calm of BTL. As a nutritionist, you can always depend on the appliances, cookware and pantry to be well stocked.
