The Spheres, 5 self-contained studios - Selene (double bed), Helios, Astra, Gaia, and Okeanos - nestle into the hillside above the sea with gorgeous views of Poros island and the Saronic Gulf. The estate is surrounded by olive trees and unspoilt countryside, and has its own richly-planted botanic gardens - a haven of peace and relaxation. The swimming bay is an 8 minute walk down the hill. The region is rich in ancient history, legend, and beauty, and is within easy reach of Poros and Hydra. Each of the studios is well-appointed and spacious with its own kitchenette. The ensuite shower rooms have been designed in simple Cycladic style in keeping with the soft colour tones of each bedroom. As well as a table and chairs outside each private terrace, there are further seating areas under the olive trees for eating and relaxing.

There are numerous places of interest in this beautiful corner of the Peloponnese. Poros is a delightful classic Greek island with many tavernas, small shops and beaches. The ancient sites of Epidaurus, Mycenae, Tiryns, and the elegant city of Nafplio, are all within easy reach. Nemea, Argos and Corinth are a day trip away. There are many small secluded beaches nearby, plus natural mountain scenery and views, and the wild volcanic region of Methana to explore.
It is also possible to visit the islands of Hydra or Spetses for the day.
The Estate is situated 5 kilometres along the coast road outside Galatas. Free parking is available, and access is up a concrete road. It is easiest to explore the mainland area by car, and it is also possible to hire electric bicycles, mopeds or cars in Galatas. There is no public transport from Galatas to the Estate, but there are taxis. Water taxis run about every 10 minutes between Poros island and Galatas. We are 2.5 hours' drive from Athens airport. If coming by public transport, there are buses from Athens to Galatas, and the hydrofoil runs from Piraeus to Poros.

The Artemis Estate is dedicated to this profound tradition, and the botanic hillside gardens have been carefully and symbolically planted to offer its visitors space, light and peace. I hope that all guests can benefit from the climate, the beauty, the rich variety of wildlife, and the inspiration of this ancient land as much as I do.... not forgetting the delicious Mediterranean diet, and the ever-changing sea and huge sky!
