Idyllic family house - 150 m to the lake - 2 min. by foot! 7 km to Konstanz - Kreuzlingen. German and Swiss mobile phone network works perfectly. WLAN usable. Ideal for cycling, swimming, SUP/kayaking, hiking, family time, shopping, culture, hanging out in the garden lounger, lingering & enjoying! Swim in the lake and Rhine & play. Relax, dream in the garden. Kitchen-living room with exit into the relaxing garden, night's rest 10 pm. We and neighbours look forward to happy, respectful guests Romantic, cosy house for - 4 persons in 3 bedrooms (double room, single room, single room - ev. with child on 5th mattress in the open living room). Spacious living room with workplace, 3 WC, 1 shower, 1 short bath. Streeming big screen with sofa landscape in the upper area/living room. 1 parking space guaranteed. By prior arrangement: 2nd parking space, baby bed, kayak, bicycle & dog. We welcome families with teenagers/children, preferably over 4 years old. Please note a partly open staircase over 4 floors (see photo). Small group: for a couple and 2 individuals. Uncomplicated use of basic well-equipped kitchen, food substitutes as needed please provide. We would like guests with a respectful attitude towards house and belongings. Excursions (km / min by car): - in Ermatingen: 3 playgrounds (2 by the lake, 1 by the school building), lakeside bathing area with barbecue, sandy beach, beach volleyball, raft & play equipment, playground, restaurant - Napoleon Castle Arenenberg with views as far as Radolfszell (2.5 km) - Napoleon tower with far-reaching views over Lake Constance & the Alps (5.4 km) by car, bike or Postbus/hiking - Many hiking trails by the lake, along the Rhine, in the forest with barbecue areas. - Lake Constance cycle path in front of the house. Untersee-Runde 75 km, whole Lake Constance 260 km. --> See Lake Constance cycle path (maps available in the house). Bike hire Ermatingen: Incidis Switzerland. 1-2 bikes can be hired in advance on request for shorter tours. - Constance (7 km): Sealife, cathedral, old town, shopping mile, events, museums, thermal baths with sauna and lake access, Hörnle lakeside resort - Connyland amusement park (8 km/10 min) - Meersburg old town with ferry on foot from KN Staad (50 min) - Affenberg near Salem with ferry via Meersburg (27 km/ 60 min) - Schaffhausen & Rhine Falls Neuhausen (37 km/40 min) by car, bike, train or boat - Mainau flower island (19 km/24 min) with lots of play opportunities & butterfly house, restaurants - Alpstein mountains with Säntis (65 km / 75 min) and Appenzell (60 km / 60 min) - Cultural city of St. Gallen (47 km, 50 min) & Zurich ( km) - Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen with ferry (37 km / 65 min) with transport by catamaran from Constance (52 min journey) - Vorarlberg town of Bregenz on Lake Constance (70 km / 72 min) with festival, cultural centre and house of culture

Franziska was amazing, super responsive & helpful with our stay. The unit is a bit old but well maintained, very good value for this price point! Note: do not buy ice cream as there is no freezer :)
Een heerlijk bijzonder huis in een fantastische omgeving. Vijf verdiepingen met een spannende trap naar de masterbedroom, maar daar word je beloond met een geweldig uitzicht. Locatie ligt op 150 meter van het strand en haven, we hebben genoten van Zwitserland. Met een baby van een jaar niet een heel handig huis, maar we hadden ook beter kunnen lezen 😉 Complete keuken inclusief verse kruiden uit de tuin, fijne douche, en echt compleet. De host is superlief en attent bij het oplossen van een probleem. Prachtige locatie! Geweldige grote streaming TV en hele fijne loungebank ook. Aanrader!

Wir haben 11 wunderbare Tage bei Franziska verbracht. Das Haus bietet alles, was man braucht und ist wirklich toll gelegen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr unkompliziert und die Kommunikation hat sehr gut geklappt.
Das Haus ist an einer tolle Lage und ist aussergewöhnlich ausgebaut. Mit dem Gastgeber hat alles gut geklappt und war sehr unkompliziert. Der Garten ist sehr klein und für die Fahrräder gibt es keinen geeigneten Platz zum parkieren.

In the lower village of Ermatingen - in the old part of the village - life is cosy... Stroll along the lake, eat fish in the Seegarten, Krone or Hecht restaurants, enjoy a glass of wine or coffee in the "wyundkafi" and in the "Blumen & Kaffee - by Marianne" at Untere Seestrasse 60.
Or simply: let your feet and soul dangle on the lakeshore while the children build castles and splash around in the sand...
An attractive lakeside bathing area with a restaurant, barbecue area and many play facilities will delight near and far.
Several playgrounds on the lakeside (Bogi and Horn) as well as school playgrounds (climbing frame etc. and football pitch, also for badminton...).
Culture is provided by the wine museum, the Napoleon castle with museum. Lake Constance cycle tours, Rhine boat trips, culture and shopping in Constance for young and old.
Everything your heart desires! Above all: chilling out in the house garden.
Cyclists and hikers beware: Lake, forests, fields and lots of nature await those willing to explore.
Not only the Lake Constance round trip is tempting, the Thurgau is a super ideal cycling area! Within 45 min - 1.5 h you can reach lakes by bike, some with bathing facilities and barbecue areas: Bommer and Lengwiler ponds, Hüttwiler lakes and many smaller ones. In 15 minutes, on the nearby Seerücken hill, you can often enjoy great mountain views of the Säntis and, from the Napoleon Tower in Wäldi-Gunterswilen, an unforgettable panoramic view of southern Germany and the mountain ranges of eastern and central Switzerland, sometimes as far as the Bernese and Valais Alps!
An adult kayak can be provided by arrangement. Bicycles can also be hired by arrangement. IMPORTANT: We would like to provide you with the necessary materials in advance. Only on request in advance.
The St. Gallen - Schaffhausen train connection is a 5-minute walk away. Good connections e.g. to Konstanz for culture, leisure, shopping and university!Train 15 min, bike 30 min, boat 45 min.
