schrecklich!! aus der Leitung kam braun gelbes Wasser, Bad kein Strom, Duschewanne mit Vorhang war so komisch das duschen echt schwierig war.überall dreckige Ecken, Schubladen, Spinnweben. Bett musste man selbst beziehen. Schränke befüllt mit alten Müll zu. Bsp. Salz von 2006 und undefinierbare Dinge . Das direkt neben dran eine Kirchenglocke ist sollte man erwähnen. und und und nie wieder.

Back to basic, a unique experience in the mountains near Lago Maggiore. Only one small, curvy road leads to the small and beautiful village of Curiglia. Exciting turns and fingers crossed no-one comes up from the opposite side haha! The appartment is located on the second floor and provides everything you need. The bathroom can not be found in the appartment, but next to the front door (which I considered very cute). Our hosts were extremely friendly and willing to provide all interesting points in the surroundings. You can cook yourself (bring your groceries because I think there's no shop), or easily visit the restaurant around the corner, led by two elderly ladies. No menu, just eat the dish of the day (local specialties) which is always perfect (not sure whether suitable for vegetarians, might be possible if you ask beforehand). If you like hiking in the mountains, this is the place to stay! Don't forget to bring cash since there's no ATM in this village with just 160 inhabitants. If you're not into luxury, but appreciate the small things in life and enjoying the beautiful nature, sleeping villages and wandering in the mountains I can highly recommend this place!

Sehr schön gelegene kleine Unterkunft in einem alten Bergdorf. Grandiose Aussicht vom Balkon und Hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Hier ist es so ruhig, dass man Abends das Gefühl hat seinen eigenen Puls zu hören. Naja und die Kirchenglocke... Ja die gibt es, aber störend? Keineswegs! Wir waren zu zweit hier und die meiste Zeit draussen in der Natur oder auch mal in der Stadt. Abends denn ein leckeres Essen im Restaurant um die Ecke oder eine Kleinigkeit selbst zubereitet. Parken konnten wir in geringer Distanz zur Unterkunft (50...100m?). Wie oft in Italien üblich, auf Öffentlichen Flächen. Die Unterkunft selber liegt in mitten enger verwinkelter Gassen. Zum abschalten des Alltags und als Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern sehr zu empfehlen!

We really liked our stay in this cozy mountain village apartment. Be prepared to go back to basics, but this is what we really enjoyed. Fantastic views from the balcony. Note that the church bell rings every hour, also at night. This was quite charming, but be warned that it's super loud and you will wake up. for the rest this is a super nice sleepy mountain village which gives you the feeling to travel back in time. Go here if you feel like peace of mind, and great food in the local restaurant, and you have a car.
