希贝尼克 · 整套联排别墅 · 2室5床2.0卫 · 可住6人 · J's Sailing House - Panoramic stone house for 2-8
Renovated old stone house over 5 floors with double terrace and amazing views of Sibenik! Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, kitchen and a living room with double sofa bed and single bed for extra guests up to 8. 30 seconds from the cafes on the front and 3 mins from the cathedral. Amazing views of the Sibenik channel and all three land fortresses from the double roof terraces. This is a tall and narrow house that's over 200 years old. The street, Uskocka, is named after pirates that used to roam. We've modernised parts of the house (especially the staircase and bathrooms) and carefully renovated the stonework to show the size of the stones used to build the house. How did they do that? Well suited to 4 people but with an extending single bed, double sofa bed and single sofa bed can accommodate 8 people across three rooms and two bathrooms.
Great location. Taxi can drop off pretty close so you don't have to drag luggage far. The home is unique and nicely updated. Zana is easy to communicate with and very helpful. She was fantastic.
Jeremy’s house is a quirky gem in a stunning location. We loved our stay. Just two minute’s walk from the waterfront promenade, and the restaurants, bars and icecream parlours, of Sibenik’s old town, Jeremy’s place has a jaw-dropping view from the rooftop terrace across to the dome of the nearby Cathedral of St James and spectacular harbour. Needless to say, you don’t get a view over rooftops in a town where everything is tall and narrow without climbing a few steps - 69 in fact - but newly refurbished and comfortably wide and shallow. Each room from the retro 60/70s orange kitchen and bathroom on the ground past the comfortable living room and two bedrooms to the patio has its own level. We had everything we needed, plentiful hot water, fridge, oven, dishwasher and washing machine and fans in all rooms. Felt like stepping into a familiar family holiday home, with the difference that you step straight out into a beautiful medieval old town. Excellent communications from the hosts.
We loved staying in this property. Its really quirky and is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town, across the road from the harbour and a short walk to a beach. There are lots of restaurants within a 2 minute walk and some great ice cream shops too. The sunsets from the roof terrace were amazing and the house was very well equipped for our family of 4. We would highly recommend this property, as long as you can manage stairs, as there are lots in the property and the town. It would be difficult to navigate the town/access this property if you had mobility issues.
I love walking around the cobbled streets of Sibenik. Unlike other medieval towns this one is on a hill so while it's all narrow streets and alleyways, it never feels claustrophobic. Head downhill and you'll always reach the sea. The house is just on the seafront behind the ferry offices. You can sit on the roof and watch the sailing holidaymakers berthing their yachts on the front. Not always to plan!
Dozens of restaurants and cafes are right outside the front door.
Day Trips
Some nice places to visit along the coast. Ferries, buses and taxis are 2 minutes walk away.
By Car
• Primosten: Almost an island but not quite. Good swimming and food. 45 mins south.
• Trogir: very old town. 1.15 south, very close to the airport. Parking madness!
• Krka National Park: Many entrances to the waterfall national park. Really worth and early visit for walks through the waterfalls and walkways. 15 mins drive away.
• Paklenica National Park: Bigger, better waterfalls, further away.
• Drive to Zaton for restaurant, different swimming in brackish water
• Drive to Raslina for fairly secluded swimming
• Lots of little villages/sea places along the coast to the north including Tribunj, Tisno.
By Boat
Ferries are reliable, but they are more for commuters than holidaymakers so check the return times!!
• Kornati Islands: lots of islands. Loads of day trips organised.
• Zlarin Island: The closest to Sibenik. Tickets from the Jadrolinija office. 30 mins on the ferry (probably the good old Ivan or Tijat). Ok swimming, and some nice restaurants on the front.
• Prvic and Sepurine: two stops by ferry on the same Island. Get off at the first and walk through to the second via an OK beach and lovely fish restaurant. Get the ferry back to Sibenik or carry on to Vodice to get a taxi or bus back.
