We were in the area for work and Karen’s place was perfect for us. It was clean and had all of the comforts of home. The washer and dryer was a big plus. The sun porch was a nice bonus. Look forward to our next stay!
Karen's place is a gem! During a long cross-country drive, we found this to be a restful and replenishing stop -- the artwork throughout the house and the lovely individuality of the furnishings made us feel at home. Very comfortable bed and linens -- much appreciated. Very quiet, rural-small-town setting, with neighbors nearby so you don't feel isolated. It's 10 miles from I-40 but easy to find and a very convenient location between Memphis and Nashville. And pet-friendly! A great value.

I do not recommend this Airbnb, for the following reasons. Mouse poison poured on the closet floor, smoke odor coming through bedroom window from sunroom, dirty dishes left in soured dishwasher, roaches seen in bathroom, black mold on window located in the shower, no exhaust fan in bath, when toilet is flushed, water backs up into bathroom sink, toilet float sticks, uncomfortable bed, home sits very close to the noisy road..bedroom faces the road, soiled furniture fabric, and finally there is a modular home in the backyard. NOTE, my husband and I have been renting Airbnb's for all our travel since 2016. We've only experienced 2 bad homes in that time period, with this being one of them.

Welcome to my home!! I moved here from Memphis and thought I would hate it! Wrong! It changed my life in so many ways. So, it's my goal to give you a taste of what its like to live in a small, rural southern community. It's quiet and relaxing and conductive to reading, working in a garden or going for a walk with my sweet chowchow, Kiki McGee - all the things I enjoy doing. We have a small landscape design business and I work as an artist as well. I enjoy collecting other unknown local artists so I hope this is all reflected in my space. I love taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary. It's what I live for! When you stay in our rental, you have it all to yourself as we have a small farm nearby. We are just a phone call away in the event you need something that isn't provided. I've tried to think of everything, from clothes steamer to dog treats, but I may have overlooked some things. So if you have need of something, just holler!! If we don't have it, we will go get it!!
