“Getting there is half the fun.” SUV or Jeep only IMHO. 10 inch deep water to ford, then steep, rocky, sandy, gravelly “road” - more of a cut - over the pass. Go slow and no problems. The privacy is astounding. Local hiking and mountain biking is amazing. I’d stay on this side of the pass the whole time when I return. Going back and forth to Moab is no picnic and takes 2 hours one way. That said: spectacular place in every way. All modern conveniences including range and fridge, shower, toilets, but with a rustic off-grid feel. Patio with fire pit like no other. Colorado river is right there, plus Canyonlands views. Just amazing. Tom is a wealth of local information and desert lore.

Tom’s place was simply unforgettable!! He provided detailed directions to his remote location that made it easy to find. If you’re not already fluent driving on off-road mountain terrain, it could be a little intimidating on the way in, but the drive back is much easier once you know what to expect. It’s absolutely worth it!! We rented a side by side from Tom and since no one else was pining for it, we got to use it for the entire day. Our 5 & 7 year old boys loved it! Tom’s staff was also fantastic - Teresa let our boys feed Kobe, the tortoise, and that was also really special! So thankful we made this journey and got to experience a truly unique experience of Moab!! 🤗

Great time in Hurrah Condo it was very peaceful with no neighbors. We took the side by side to Chicken corner twice and played a couple rounds of disc golf on two awesome courses. If Tom brings my wife back over Hurrah pass we'll probably be back. We stayed in 3 houses in Utah and hit all the National Parks and Dino land Monument. This was our favorite place to be...

Stayed in condo. Amazing home in stunningly beautiful location. Tom was super responsive and very friendly if needed but also left us alone to feel like we were the only ones out there when we weren’t initiating contact, pretty much the perfect host. Four of us total stayed with two kids under two and a dog. Condo is excellent for parents with young kids, and it was much nicer than we expected. Amazing view out huge window in kitchen/dining area. All amenities needed, and surprisingly great wifi. We had plenty to do right on the property, and but made it out to windcaves and chicken corners in a z71 suburban no problem. Road going in to Tom’s was totally fine in suburban. One of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at. 5/5
