Completamente immersi nella natura. Silenzio, escursione vicina, lago a 400 mt con barca disponibile…cosa chiedere di più . Anche un po di birdwatching. Soluzione ideale per toccare con mano le isole più “isolate”!

Det här boendet var det bästa under vår Ålandsresa. Conny var väldigt hjälpsam, svarade snabbt och tog kontakt redan i god tid före incheckning. Stugan var ren och prydlig och såg bättre ut än på bilderna. Stugan hade allt man kunde behöva bl.a. tillräckligt med kärl och matlagningsutrustning. Extra plus för möjlighet att använda roddbåt och bastu. Lammen utanför stugan var keliga och söta!

Very nice location, completely remote from city, which makes it a perfect choice for an escape into nature. Place was comfy and clean. Accessibility to supermarket is a bit complicated if you don't have a car. Be sure to check ferry timetable between Degerby and Svino when you plan your trip not to have any complications.

The cottage has two small bedrooms with a bunkbed in each. In one of them, the lower bed is wide enough for two (thin) persons. The kitchen has all the usual amenities for cooking, a sink, a fridge and a freezer, and a good selection of pots and pans, plates, glasses and cutlery. There is an attached ”bathroom” equipped with a sink and mirror-cabinet in a corner of the kitchen. The big room (tupa in Finnish) has a dining table with four chairs and a comfortable sofa. There is cold and hot running water. The waterless composting toilet is outside (in Finnish, puu-cee) but quite comfortable and odourless. Bedlinen and towels are provided for an extra fee. The cottage is situated in the middle of a bushy forest with fields and pastures near-by. That means that there can be quite many horse-flies and mosquitos. The sea shore with the rowing boat is about 300 meters away. There is no beach suitable for swimming there. The better of the two beaches in Föglö is near the village of Degerby which also has a grocery store/pharmacy/convenience store with a limited selection of goods, and a restaurant. The sauna is shared with another cottage, located 40 m away. The wood-burning sauna is quite nice, and it has a shower with hot and cold water. Everything was very clean, and our host Conny was very friendly and helpful. We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay in the cottage. We enjoyed the company of a beautiful crane couple that made us feel really ”out in the wild”.

We loved staying at Conny's place. It was very clean and we specially enjoyed the boat included in the price. We had a great time with our children exploring the area. Reaaly recomended!
