I enjoyed another peaceful and relaxing stay at Carol's cozy apartment - it was a perfect spot to return to after exploring the beauty of Acadia (even in the rain!) and it felt like home. I wholeheartedly recommend this property for a solo traveler or couple who is looking for a private, quiet, and spotlessly clean place. Carol is a lovely, responsive, and attentive host - I look forward to staying here again!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Huckleberry Suite - it was the perfect size for a solo traveler and was clean, cozy, and toasty warm. It's close to stores and restaurants, yet feels very private and quiet. The apartment is stocked with anything you might need to feel at home, including some welcomed kitchen staples. Carol is a wonderful and thoughtful host - I'll be happy to stay here again!
Huckleberry was a perfect base camp for our trip to Acadia National Park. The location was perfect, the unit was spotless, and the kitchen had everything you needed. It is worth noting that the tap water is very good to drink, no need to buy bottled water. I didn't know that until we arrived so someone else may find that information useful. Highly recommend.

I'vve never arrived at a rental to find half and half and coffee already supplied. There were plenty of towels, a useful nightlight and lots of extras like foils & wraps plus a fully equipped kitchen. This location is very quiet while also easily accessible to all of the activities right in the town center. Since we were hiking a biking it made a real difference to have a well-working washer/dryer, a shower with good water pressure and lots of towels. We are grateful for our peaceful getaway.

自我介绍
We have lived in Bar Harbor for 40 years because it is so easy to access the ocean for sailing, Acadia National Park for hiking and cross country skiing, and the community for enrichment and entertainment. In our younger years, we enjoyed backpacking trips in Colorado with our children. We bonded, as a family, during long cross country car trips to various national parks and we, minus the “kids,” continue to enjoy visiting B&Bs and car camping as we have traveled around the U.S. When not traveling, Jim has spent his time renovating the 1904 cul-de-sac on which we live. He built the duplex that Huckleberry is in a couple of years ago because one of the original buildings was beyond renovation and needed to be taken down. Carol was a teacher in the local school for 25 years. We have provided, and continue to provide affordable housing for our community on our little side street. Now, in the “retirement years,” we enjoy meeting new people and look forward to hosting a variety of guests this season in our Huckleberry Suite and Sweet Fern weekly rentals.
