We stayed in the Jackfruit room. It is wonderfully private and has a great view of the waterfall. Most of the time, you’ll only hear the sounds of the waterfall and birds. Sam, the estate manager, was really helpful and gives a great nature walk every morning. This is a place to relax and do nothing. It’s fairly remote, so it’s probably not the best if you’re wanting a lot of sightseeing. Internet is good.

Beautiful place, one with nature, great food but one issue is that the staff is not very accommodating or trained. I’ll start with the good - the place is unreal. Tucked away an hours drive from Coonoor, you pass through amazing landscapes surrounded by tea estates on all sides. The stay is location within a 100acre tea estate and is truly in the wild. We saw wild bears, bisons, hornbills all from our room! This place is a great escape for anyone who wants to spend a few days away from the bustle. It’s a hidden gem indeed. The bad - the place is really really in the wild and almost all the guests we met would get lost while finding the estate, and given how cut off it is, that can be scary. But the team didn’t give us a heads up on how out of connectivity this place would be, or share any directions. Second, the stay is almost a 300m walk from the place where the kitchen is - unfortunately when we got there my wife had a severe episode of migraine, and the staff were simply unaccomodating of any request to serve meals at the room, and the manager even went on to express doubt whether my wife was really sick, before eventually and reluctantly agreeing. We often visit places that are off the grid, but uniquely faced these challenges here.
