‘A stranger is a friend you haven’t met yet’. Welcome to my home. I wish you welcome to experience the spectacular nature in a little fishing village Havøysund. Located at 71° north, the village is the end point of The Scenic Route Havøysund. Make your stay in Havøysund a supplement to the North Cape. My airbnb is suitable for solo travelers, friends and couples. An ideal place for photographers, hikers, cyclists and other adventurous people, who are not afraid of the forces of nature. The house is spacious, bright and modern and located in a quiet spot on the west side of the island, with seasonally changing spectacular scenery. Your room is on the top / second floor, as well as your private bathroom. The lobby with the coffee corner is also on the top floor, you can use the lobby as a workspace, if you need. So in a way, you have the whole top floor all to yourself. In special cases, I have also an extra guest room available on the top floor, if needed.

Hannu’s place is amazing, the house is very well maintained. It’s very stylish. The rooms are clean and tidy. The view from the window (any window) is magnificent. I just can’t stop standing in front of any window and have a cup of coffee, what a world! Highly recommend Hannu’s place.
Best host ever! Hannu was incredibly welcoming. He is very helpful and willing to share his knowledge of the region and his passion for fishing. The house is very beautiful and spacious with an astonishing view over the fjord! One of my best experience!

Really nice stay in Hannu's home, which is welcoming and generous. Plenty of space, good discussions and good time, Havøysund is a beautiful place, it's nice to get to the end of the road !
My stay with Hannu was one of my favorite Airbnb experiences. He kindly met me at the ferry and shared his dinner (the best meal I had in Norway!) and was extremely kind and thoughtful throughout my stay, even helping me to book my bus ride as the ticket system had recently changed. The house is gorgeous and in a perfect spot on a quiet road right by the water. Inside the house is very airy, clean, and bright, with a few special antiques treasures from his grandmother’s house in Finland. The sauna is heaven combined with the cold air on the balcony. I can’t wait to stay again!

A travel tip to all cyclists going to The North Cape:
Instead of cycling the same road back through all the tunnels, take The Norwegian Coastal Route ferry ( operated by Hurtigruten or Havila ) from Honningsvåg to Havøysund and discover this hidden gem and feel the atmosphere in a real little fishing village.
You will not regret seeing the spectacular nature around Havøysund and The Scenic Route, the road 889, when you are heading back to south again.
You can park your car in front of the garage or on the little parking place in front of the house, on the other side of the road.
