Excellent stay, good location for village, main links and shopping. Responsive host with good communication and texts to support. Allocated space for one car. We stayed as a family whilst some works were being done on our property, therefore we used this as a family home for our stay and we felt quite comfortable and relaxed.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the last review. We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas night to be close to family. - Arrived to a dirty white towel on the doorstep - Digital lock didn’t have a code applied, to unlock the door all we needed to do was put our palm on the reader. Anyone could access the house & every time we left we had to take all our belongings. - Freezing cold on arrival. - Main bedroom not set up as twins as requested on the form. Had to search for bedding, split the mattresses & make the beds. - Hot water was non existent in the top bathroom, even on max. Shower head is not secure so when the water pressure drops it hits you on the head. - Trying to have a shower downstairs also problematic.Water was hot but nowhere to hold the shower head & the pressure yo-yos between a drip & full blast. - Some of the glasses were dirty & had to be washed up prior to use. No dishwasher tablets. All in all far from ideal for a Christmas break, especially given the high price

Overcharged for sub-par accommodation and lack of care from the host. Dirty on arrival. Oven & microwave both covered in food which had clearly been there for some time; plates on table had food on, and bed sheets in 2 rooms had blood stains on. Reported to host, who, without apology, arranged for cleaners to arrive two days later. Cleaners did bare minimum, and left the front door unlocked whilst we had been out for the day. Again, reported to host as we had left valuable belongings inside for the day - little concern expressed about this. Lounge/dining lighting very poor, making it difficult to prepare food/drinks. Window in master bedroom would not close, making it unbearably cold to sleep. Ensuite shower has intermittent 'lukewarm' water at best, and does not drain - shower time is limited to the point at which it overflows. Downstairs shower doesn't work. Not acceptable for price charged. Very little care or attention to detail expressed from the host. Would not recommend.
