The Magnetawan River runs throughout the Burks Falls/Magnetawan district, at times charging rapidly through rocky areas and at other times meandering almost imperceptibly through flat areas. One of these lazy river areas is just where you will find Bankside. Bankside combines traditional and modern, with the original cottage providing a classic cottage ambiance and a modern addition offering more spacious sleeping accommodations, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The water deepens quickly from the riverbank and edge of the dock, allowing for good swimming and fishing. Small craft can be launched directly from the property. Winter Notes The cottage is on a municipally maintained road and is easily accessed in all seasons, however the Huntsville/Magnetewan area can be prone to large snowfalls, so it is best to be prepared anytime during the Winter months.
