We greatly enjoyed our time at Raul's place. Raul was a wonderful host. He communicated in advance to confirm our arrival time, provide driving instructions, and has a guide with local information. He met us for check-in, and gave us a tour of the flat and instructions for our stay. We were pleasantly surprised with a welcome basket of fresh fruit, bread, and pasteis da nata. The location is convenient and very quiet and peaceful, with no street noise at night. The kitchen had the basic amenities and tools needed for us to cook multiple meals during our stay. The photos of the flat and garden are accurate. We recommend Raul's place.

Authentic village feel. Nice base, close to so many sites. Tight parking. Great hosts! We were here in Feb and were thankful for the heated blankets on the bed! History buffs and beach holidayers will be pleased with the locale and home!

Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Una casa muy bonita, acogedora y en una zona muy tranquila. Hemos pasado uno magníficos días en Montemor o Velho. Muito abrigados Raúl y Palmira por vuestra amabilidad y hospitalidad. Nos volveremos a ver.

Words do not give justice to the wonderful hospitality we received from Raul and Palmira. It felt as we were visiting family from day one. We were relocating to the area and the help and guidance provided by them was one of a kind. Raul went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and made us feel as part of his family. He help us with language barriers that we encountered with numerous situations. We are a family of 4 with 2 toddlers and had great accommodations for our 30 day stay. Right in the center, close to the castle, park, restaurants, bakery, cafes and everything needed was walking distance. We have made friends for life and we highly recommended staying with them.

Raul and Palmira are amazing hosts. Great communications and information before arrival. Our flight was late but Raul was very accommodating and met us when we finally arrived. The apartment has been carefully renovated and retains it's historic origins and charm. It has also been equipped with everything you could need for a short break. Although Montemor is a small, rural town there are a number of excellent restaurants close by as well as bakeries. We very much recommend this location and host.
