This location was very expected and then some. Sally and George were excellent hosts and the extra amenities that were provided made this stay memorable. Great location if looking to do things in Watkins Glen or Ithaca. Adding this location to a place to return back to.

We loved our visit to the "tr-ottage". It was exactly the long get away weekend we wanted with an active dog and 2 year old. We loved our time on the kayaks and paddle boat. Our dog loved time in the water and we ate almost every meal outside on the deck or at the picnic table. The TV had pbs kids which gave the adults a chance to wake up and have coffee :) Hosts were available and responsive, but otherwise we didn't see them. Hiking and wineries all within 20 min of the property that you don't want to leave anyway? What more could you ask for? If you're looking for a couple steps up from camping and the opportunity to be right on the lake, this is it!

The place was was just what we wanted. I call it ‘Glamping’. Camping by the lake yet not on the ground. It was a nice space and not too cramped. Beds were comfy! Everything was supplied! From the pedal boats to the wood to the cute s’mores basket! The house was cozy,and they had the fans on when we got there too! Plenty of chairs for the family! And they allowed the family pets which was a big plus in choosing them 😀 I love that they said Hi, and were available, but didn’t impose.

This was a fun stay! Kayaks, row boat, and paddle boat were key additions to the fun. We chose not to swim due to algae issues the lake is experiencing, but others may not find this an issue. We had a 17, 5, 3, and 1 year old and they all did great and had fun! No cell phone service for our T-Mobile phones. Honestly, it was nice. It just made planning the days a bit challenging. But we found the service spots close by (Kozy Korner) and used that as needed. You may want to bring a few baking dishes if you plan on cooking, or buy tinfoil dishes once you get here. There was only one baking tray and one cookie sheet. Wonderful hosts. Very kind and communicative!

Me and my friends stayed and Sally & George’s place for 3 nights. The place was super clean! The 2 bedrooms had everything we needed, the kitchen had all appliances need for cooking homemade food. And the place is so so peaceful! Not to mention the hosts were so nice and friendly! We super recommend it ! Great place !
