We had a great stay with friends for a week at the end of August. The weather was very hot (38 degrees!) so the air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms was much needed (although there is unfortunately no air conditioning downstairs in the living area or downstairs bedroom). The villa, the pool and the garden are all beautiful and as per the pictures! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very nice no comfortable. The kitchen was good and well equipped although the bottom level of the dishwasher was a bit broken and tricky to use. The pool was a great size, temperature and depth for younger children and we enjoyed it a lot! We didn’t leave the villa that much but had a fantastic lunch out in Chiusi at La Solita Zuppa, a fun dinner at the local pizzeria and also explored the lake area a bit too. We also hired a private chef (Alessio) recommended by Veronique for one night which was a nice treat! All in all a lovely trip in a beautiful area and Veronique was a great host!

We stayed at Villa Alta in July 2023. It was VERY hot but the Villa was comfortable for the most part. The ground floor has no AC, including one bedroom, but they have screens on the majority of windows and doors, as well as a fan. The house and properties beauty in unparalleled. The house is so tastefully done and has a lot of thoughtful touches. There was an issue with the drier as well as the coffee machine and Veronique addressed and fixed them immediately for us. The town of Villastrada is small but so cute. You can walk to a place where you can get pizza & gelato in the evenings, but you must book ahead! Veronique shared all the local spots with me. She was extremely accommodating. There are some beautiful bigger towns very close by. Castiglione de Lago was beautiful with a great restaurant La Cantina. We also visited Madre Vite winery. We loved our time at Villa Alta. Felt very welcomed and at home. We hope to come back again one day.
